That’s great but it explains a Cruz win. I used to think open primaries were terrible but two of my family members are now registered Independents and I see they don’t have a say in closed primaries.

Why didn’t they change their registration to vote in the Republican primary? Conversely, if they’re registered as independents they’re allowed by Democrat party rules to vote in the Democrat primary.
