Sorry but that is political ignorance speaking. Preaching to the choir is not a winning tactics in politics.
Cruz gave everyone not on his side reason to dislike him in his speech. You don’t win elections with a fraction of your base. You have to attract other voters and Cruz is demonstrating a rather shocking political tone deafness when it came to getting anyone outside his choir to join him.
I could have written Ted Cruz a speech that would have elevated his stature, but what he did was sink to the level of Little Marco. He not only didn’t extend a hand to any potential supporters he spit in their faces.
As a Trump supporter, you win the Irony Award! Trump is the KING of alienating supporters of other candidates! "Child molester." "Loser." "Liar." Etc. Etc. Etc.
Cruz is behaving like a crazed cult leader. He must think “God” is on his side, and confounds all who do not follow in his “righteous” path.
