I didn’t know there were any rednecks in Oregon. I thought they just had millenial techno weenies.

That would fit right in with what I am seeing across the country. The Trump, supporters are middle class working families, who feel left behind by the economy and blamed for everything that is wrong with the country.

They know that they didn’t do it, that the Washington DC elitists made this mess and they are not going to give them another chance to clean it up. The Trump supporters aren’t even necessarily political. They don’t believe in social justice and may not even know what it is, but they know it wasn’t their fault.

When we were in Gold’s Beach, last year, in a small beer brewery and bar, my husband asked the waitress what businesses were there, what supported the town. She said, “ You’re looking at it, this and the lumber mill are about it.” “ They killed off the fishing and and most of the logging, but the lumber mill is still operating.” The “they” was the government. I think that there probably a lot of people in Oregon who feel that way.
