Trump Is Now Unstoppable. It's Game Over For Cruz, Rubio, Kasich And Carson
foxnews.com ^ | March 1 | Ed Rollins

Game over! This was a rout, America. Winning seven states and the vast majority of delegates is a landslide. Donald Trump and the millions of his supporters have changed American politics and the Republican Party for the foreseeable future.

The nomination is within his grasp and if he does what he said he would do Tuesday night: "[I will] be a unifier!" he may be a very viable candidate against Hillary Clinton in the fall.

After his victories Tuesday night in multiple states and his second place finish in others , Trump is in an unstoppable position. Whether the junior senators from Texas and Florida choose to pursue him, it doesn’t matter, the end is near.

Trump, who is an unconventional candidate, to say the least, has tapped into the anger and frustration across America and has mobilized voters to turn out in record numbers.

Love him or hate him, be inspired by him or be appalled by him, Trump has totally dominated a political cycle like no other politician I’ve seen in decades.

I admit I was a total skeptic, like many others.

At first, I didn’t think he would run.

Then I thought there was no way he could beat the all-star cast of elected officials running against him.

Then I underestimated his lack of substance and trite answers in the debates.

Then I was convinced the political establishment was going to spend millions and take him out. And like the Energizer bunny he just keeps going and winning!

Trump is getting stronger by the day and his supporters are locked in and not going away. And no one has mastered the media like this since Teddy Roosevelt and his rough riders.

What's ahead is a Republican Party that either becomes part of his movement or splinters

...and will shortly thereafter have enough delegates to win.

And after that you can accurately say "unstoppable".

Yes, I understand we’re between a rock and a hard place. And it’s helpful for us to acknowledge that. But that’s not being done. What’s being done is each side claiming that their guy is the savior. No guy can single-handedly save this nation. Only the people can. And the people are abdicating full responsibility to a single, unaccountable man.

...What would Trump have to do, to get you to stop supporting him?...

The only way I would not support Trump is if he were not running, since in Nevada I cannot write in a candidate.

Who believes Fox News any longer? Only idiots! Trump is not winning a majority of the votes and cannot beat Cruz head to head., And the time is getting close when the majority of the support will go to Cruz and now Rush Limbaugh is backing Cruz. He said Trump is a democrat. Actually Rush is partially correct. Trump is actually a fascist.

Yeah, right. The guy didn't register anywhere but TX and the neighboring states and now he's going to be the majority winner. Dream on.

Trump is showing the GOP how to win, growing the party and ending the stupid stupid stupid Carl Rove “architect” a win by conceding a democratic firewall and a republican firewall and battling a GOTV campaign in a handful of swing states! Thank God!

The GOPe and their money men are desperate because they make their blood money selling out America all they care about is their pockets continue to be padded no matter who gets hurt. Their time is done!

Trump is on his way to a landslide win in November, and I have no doubt there are folks who would gladly see the GOP commit suicide than lose their power, and if they deny Trump the nomination through dirty pool and other things that’s exactly what will happen.

The US is a center right nation and the failure of the GOPe to concede certain policies they have been carrying water for the past 30 years on are wrong and destructive and need to go, is why we have been in this stupid stuck cycle for so long. Trump is showing the Republican Party how to win and win big , for a good time to come, but it means certain folks have to lose their fiefdoms and they will not go down lightly.

Trump is going to have to fight harder against the GOP establishment than he will The Democrats at the end of the day, because they have the most to lose and they know it.

I agree. As a 100% Cruz supporter, it’s game over.

We must defeat the uniparty. Conservatism has no chance until someone, anyone, defeats the G.o.p.e.

That someone is Trump and his populism.

Conservatives must coalesce around Trump now, and live to fight the RINOs another day.

Thanks for this - didn’t see that other post from Jim.

Again, Trump is my #1 choice, Cruz #2 (even after his very strange recent behavior).

The people that claim that only Cruz or Rubio can beat Hillary are missing the 800 lb elephant - if they can’t beat Trump, they can’t beat Hillary.

To get to the Super Bowl, you need to win in the playoffs. So far, Trump is winning in the playoffs and he’ll be the one in the Super Bowl against Hillary.

Others have opined that Trump should avoid the rest of the debates. I agree. Trump doesn’t gain anything from participating in any more GOPe debates. I would suggest Trump always schedule competing events to specifically benefit a charity (wounded veterans, victims of illegal alien crime, etc.).

He could attract friendly GOP candidates to be on stage with him, particularly potential future cabinet folks, candidates challenging RINOs in primaries and high profile endorsers.

Trump needs to start acting past the sale and start behaving in general campaign mode.

Who believes Fox News any longer? Only idiots!

It was unreal that I had to switch over to CNN to get some unbiased (barely) coverage of last nights returns.

I could not listen to the continuous Trump bashing ... direct or veiled ... it was like fingernails on a chalkboard.

It was R.I.P. GOP in 2008 when the party leadership forced the nomination of a candidate much of the electorate knew was working to arm radical muslims.

The cowardly (and traitorous) sheep who went along with the Republican party instead of working to form a new party then, got us to this point.

Negotiable so that we win. America has not been first in any negotiation since long before Cruz and Rubio got to office!

When Trump get’s over 50% support of Republican voters, then it might be over.

36% will do, if all no other candidate drops out.

41.7% for absolute control in a fragmented market

I’m with you FRiend, despite Cruz’ weird antics lately, I would vote for him if he somehow prevailed to become the nominee, I very much want to think that the troubles he’s been having are due primarily to that fruitcake Glenn Beck who has sucked up and ingratiated himself to Cruz and become an integral part of his campaign. Cruz needs to dump him like a lumber yard calls in the professionals to get rid of termites.
