Trump Is Now Unstoppable. It's Game Over For Cruz, Rubio, Kasich And Carson
foxnews.com ^ | March 1 | Ed Rollins

Game over! This was a rout, America. Winning seven states and the vast majority of delegates is a landslide. Donald Trump and the millions of his supporters have changed American politics and the Republican Party for the foreseeable future.

The nomination is within his grasp and if he does what he said he would do Tuesday night: "[I will] be a unifier!" he may be a very viable candidate against Hillary Clinton in the fall.

After his victories Tuesday night in multiple states and his second place finish in others , Trump is in an unstoppable position. Whether the junior senators from Texas and Florida choose to pursue him, it doesn’t matter, the end is near.

Trump, who is an unconventional candidate, to say the least, has tapped into the anger and frustration across America and has mobilized voters to turn out in record numbers.

Love him or hate him, be inspired by him or be appalled by him, Trump has totally dominated a political cycle like no other politician I’ve seen in decades.

I admit I was a total skeptic, like many others.

At first, I didn’t think he would run.

Then I thought there was no way he could beat the all-star cast of elected officials running against him.

Then I underestimated his lack of substance and trite answers in the debates.

Then I was convinced the political establishment was going to spend millions and take him out. And like the Energizer bunny he just keeps going and winning!

Trump is getting stronger by the day and his supporters are locked in and not going away. And no one has mastered the media like this since Teddy Roosevelt and his rough riders.

What's ahead is a Republican Party that either becomes part of his movement or splinters

I’ll be voting for Cruz in the General - one way or another.
Trump’s long list of negatives is too much to ignore.

A vote for Cruz in the general is a vote for Hillary!

He won 7 out of 11 and was expected to win more.

When this started he wasn't expected to run past July.

The Founders relied on our adherence to the Constitution that they wrote. That Constitution very clearly states that to be eligible to serve as President a person must be a natural born citizen.

How can you support someone who is not? If you throw out the very biggest check to corruption and destruction of this country in blind support to someone who is not eligible, what does that say? To me that is very definitely Jim Jones territory.

you misunderstand the nation and rely ance on founding father references enhances the misunderstanding.

It is precisely because Trump will reduce the corruption that he is doing so well.

I don't know which is worse: Hillary who runs as the evil witch with a "b" that she is or the thug Trump who disingenuously runs as rorschach test for the Trumpsters.

It's not ignorant it's agnostic. NeverTrump.

YOu ignore the question.

I don’t care about Trump, Cruz, Rubio, or any of them. A lot of people here applauded the GErman(?) who said that Obama was not the problem with the USA; the problem with the USA was an electorate capable of electing an Obama.

The people who elected Obama did so because in their eyes he could do no wrong. Never mind about his communist and Islamist connections. Never mind about saying the Constitution is negotiable. Never mind anything of substance, because Barack Obama was a rockstar who made them feel good, and their good feelings trumped the survival of this nation.

So I ask what substance would sway Trump voters from supporting him, and all I get back here on Free Republic is accusations that I’m a democrat.

When I see Trump’s supporters here it scares the heck out of me. Boasting to be patriots, they totally blow off the whole concept that has made America what it’s been: checks and balances.

So much easier to just call anybody who worries about everything - EVERYTHING - being “negotiable” a democrat.

Still scary thought isn’t it. I miss the way life was 30 years ago. Guess that’s why if I watch TV it is MeTV of old shows.

I have said that Ted Cruz’s eligibility needs to be determined by the courts.

I am not supporting any candidate. What I’m talking about is an electorate that refuses to think.

What would Trump have to do, to get you to stop supporting him?
