One has to look at the swing states.
VA Trump brought out much more votes than previous elections.
Ted got third and did awful and to my knowledge did not even win a county for crying out loud.
FL my state Ted looks to come third again. Trump will break records on turnout again.
NV well that was a caucus so it is hard to know.
CO I believe Trump is up and Ted is third again/
Oh Trump is first and Kasich second, Ted again third.

Winning TX, his own state, OK a neighbor state and Alaska by a few hundred is not very appealing.

facts are facts and why some can’t get that into their heads is beyond me.

The establishment will push Ted now because they want a brokered convention. That is when Ted will be backstabbed.

Yes, getting ‘rat votes is one thing if it’s because they have decided that they can live with a few conservative principles in order to deal with things like closing our open borders, but it’s another entirely if they’re only coming in to try to make what’s left of a formerly mostly conservative party into the mini-me of the ‘rat party.

And I’m not forgetting how the GOPe “reached out” to ‘rat voters in the run-off to defeat the conservative who won the primary, just not by enough to avoid the run-off. They didn’t reach out by espousing conservatism, they reached out by smearing the conservative and flat-out lying about him, calling him a racist with implied ties to the KKK and other such gutter tactics.

If getting ‘rat votes-”reaching out”-means finishing the job of turning the GOP into the mini-me of the ‘rat party, what has that accomplished for conservatism? Or don’t conservative principles matter anymore?

Saving the country and reversing things in Washington DC should be our goal. That is what some movement conservatives miss.

This is the only chance we may have to get it done. One the people are defeated in rebellion it will be hard to get the energy levels up once again. I am just upset Cruz has decided his ego trip is more important that the need to save our country.

Romney is a political eunuch. He has no power in the GOP.

You wake up! Trump is attracting Independents, the people sick of the Republican party. That’s supposedly who we are, that’s who half my family now is.

Independents can’t vote in closed primaries. And some Democrats have been Dem all their lives not Obama Dems and have become more conservative. This is just the first time they care.

Cruz loses most of those voters in a general, believe me.

Trump stickers here mainly, No Rubio, A handful of Bernie when I go into Jacksonville and only seen one Cruz in a month or there abouts. Seen a couple of Carson.

As for friends , family neighbors etc. about 75% are going for Trump

My oldest son said yesterday he was driving past the high school in St Augustine and saw a lot of kids wearing Trump shirts and all looked about his age of 18.

BTW It is my sons first time voting and he and his mother are also Trump, I am leaning towards him now after seeing what has been going on

Hey, it’s all good. Cruz fans get more a little more to hang their hats on, Rubio get’s that little break of blue sky just before the Perfect Storm rouge wave.

Bottom line is it keeps them all chugging along while Trump continues to pull way.

It is nice to be independent But the closed Republican primaries do not allow independents to vote. That is just fine with the GOPe as the more establishment Republicans can thwart the will of the larger conservative electorate.

Of course I ma in St Johns county in north east FL where it is mostly republican, but I am assuming if I went down in the southern part of the state it would be more Rubio because of Hispanics.

mmmhmmm. “Liberal issues” like a wall and immigration under control.”

Even though Trumps not my pick for nomination, I’ll vote for him if he wins it but I’d bet the farm that an excuse for both his plans for, “ the wall and immigration” will fall apart. Time will tell and if it does, then its too late to change ones mind and that’s why a lot of his followers are behind him.

This is what I do not understand it seems Teds whole plan is to have the base which is not enough and hell he can’t even get that.

If you look at MA then you will see most voters are non party and most are blue collar workers which Trump is bringing in.

Why some think that the base is enough to win the national is beyond me.

I don’t like how Ted is now getting cozy with the establishment and keeps talking about beating Trump and not Clinton.

I would be happy where Republicans and independents could vote. Many do not want to be a Republican nor Democrat. So, the GOPe controls the Republican nomination, the Democrats the Democratic Party nomination and the people who care about the country have been and will continue to be screwed by the Uniparty that is the GOP and Dem elites.

Yes because the North is a friendly bunch of people who are truly conservative. We should pander to the NE liberals some more like the GOPe does every year. Oh wait, that’s why we have Trump.

Well Said...

The base is too small. 71% of all adults in the US receives a check from the fed.
