Rubio: A Trump nomination means 'the end of the modern conservative movement'
The Week ^ | March 1, 2016 | Staff

Marco Rubio brushed off Ted Cruz's call for candidates who have yet to win a state to "prayerfully consider" dropping out of the race, telling NBC News he understands "Ted's spin on this," but he's not going anywhere.

Well, now that it seems Dr Carson (the best PERSON, if not candidate, to have been in the contest) will drop out .. wonder who will pick up his 5-8% of votes?

Joe Kernan from CNBC said this about listening to Rubio on Tuesday night after Super Tuesday election...

Kernan declared Rubio’s message to be a “weird alternate universe” and likened it to former Iraqi spokesman Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf, also known as “Baghdad Bob,” who made incredible statements about the Iraqi military’s performance during the 2003 invasion despite the facts on the ground being otherwise.

“Where did Alice go?” Kernan said. “Down a rabbit hole or something? This is some weird alternate universe.

The other thing that struck me last night, did you watch Rubio’s victory speech? I was watching it, and it was like, where have I seen this before?  The only guy I could come up with was Baghdad Bob. It was like: ‘We have the Americans on the run. They’re at our gates, but they’re headed the other way. We’ve been working on this strategy and it’s working.’

It was like, what are you talking about? What world are you in?”

Well, for one election cycle he did defeat Charlie “polesmoker” Crist... but that was absolute neccesity against the enviro-whackos in FL.

Crist was a Yebbie as well. So this is all Miami queer left, queer right and the malleable vibrant newer generation Cuban American population of FL (who are, generally very loyal and good family people and vote solidly Republican). The changing face of Roman Catholicism (the new leftie, queer loving pope) has changed this dynamic through the churches. Lord help us.

Is Marco having some kind of a breakdown? He is flying off in different directions--all of course, including insult & disparagement for Donald Trump, but not on any rational analysis.

He reminds one of the way that Glen Beck has been acting, since Sarah Palin endorsed Trump.

Having been in the fight for Conservative values for over a decade before the Goldwater campaign, I will affirm that the Conservative cause since Trump began the present effort, is looking more hopeful than at any time in the past quarter century.

In typical GOP-e fashion, using double-speak, to say it’s the end of modern conservatism .. is just a smoke screen. The group that is going to be ended is the GOP-e .. and even their precious Rubio LYING, is not going to save them.

WHAT “modern conservative movement”???

The GOP has done nothing but bow down to the dictator-in-chief and give him everything he wants.

Bring it to an end. It’s well past time.

Thank God. I pray to see the “end of the modern conservative movement” — because it’s not “conservative”.

So he’s not going anywhere, is he? In fact his successor to the Senate has already been chosen.
This preening and strutting nobody reeks of arrogance, conceit and vengeance. A very small man whose notion of achievement is political blather. How predictable.

Rubio, it ended a long time ago. Go back a few years to the Goldwater/ Johnson campaign. After that the GOP and many conservatives just quit and most became RINO’s.

I think most folks are missing the bigger picture. It isn’t that Trump is a ‘true conservative’ or frankly very conservative at all. It’s that Trump is a sovereign nationalist. Without a sovereign country ‘conservatism’ and it’s varying definitions won’t mean much no matter how it’s identified. Up to this point, no other candidate has tapped into this as much as Trump has.......

Good it has accomplished little to nothing. It can not simply be against something, it must be for something.

Well, we can HOPE it ends the Modern Conservative Movement. Now that dirty whore has been exposed, it's time to throw her out of town.

Trade. Immigration. War. Crony Capitalism. Big Brother.

The "Modern Conservative Movement" is on the wrong side of all those issues, and it's ensconced in the Republican Party.

So out of touch. It means the temporary suspension of business as usual.
