Lindsey Graham: Maybe It’s Time to Rally Around Cruz, The Guy I Joked About Murdering Last Month
Breitbart ^ | 2 Mar 2016 | John Hayward

Posted on 03/02/2016 12:24:14 PM PST by detective

Everything voters have come to despise about the GOP Establishment is incarnated in Senator Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)of South Carolina, who grudgingly allowed that Republican maharajahs might just have to hold their noses and support that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)fellow, just a couple of weeks after Graham joked that he could get away with murdering Cruz on the Senate floor.

From the video: the GOPe (Graham says) strongly believes that Trump will get beaten like a drum by Hillary. They think Rubio is in trouble, especially in Florida, so the best chance they have to prevent Hillary from winning might to get behind Cruz. I’m just paraphrasing what Graham said.

“Farrakhan endorsed Trump. Explain.”

I don’t think Farrakhan ever “endorsed” Trump. David Duke did not endorse him either by the way.

This statement is only operative until Lindsey Gramm gets his next drug fix, oxycontin, or whatever he’s addicted to. Then he’ll change his mind again. What a fool this guy is.

Lindsey Gramm has had more oddly unacceptable comments during his political career than anybody, even Trump on his worst day.

Thx for the info.

Senator Graham knows; as we all do, that all those “one on one” national polls this far out from the election are pure BS at this point. Not buying his red herring.

I support Cruz because he is a true conservative, unlike Trump who just plays one when it’s convenient to.

Nope we all got it wrong....I know who it is.

It’s that freaking weasel with the Big mouth that portrayed himself as some pillar of the Conservative Movement in the H.O.R. until he sold them out.

Mr. Trey Gowdy.

How’s it going Trey, got your new K Street office already picked out? I am betting it a job at the Chamber of Commerce for Mr. Gowdy.

A total SELLOUT!

Hopefully when this is over you and Chris Christy can spend some quality time together taking moon lit walks along the Jorsey Shore...

The only reason they would pick Cruz over Trump is that Cruz has a record of accomplishing nothing in the Senate. A lot of good conservative talk but no results. That's what he'll do as President. A lot of good conservative talk but things will go on as usual. He doesn't have the ability to lead or persuade. Hes' a good establishment stooge to make sure that we keep moving to the left.

Trump on the other hand will move things back to the right by doing one thing: Making the country profitable. And he has the skills to get things done and to make people follow him.

>>Why do you think Lindsey Graham supports Cruz?<<

Might have a whole lot to do with the primary losses Rubio suffered last evening. Cruz is not establishment. Far from it.

Ted Cruz until today was HATED by the establishment for shining the light on their secret back room deals.

Cruz is not responsible for every comment someone in the political realm spews. Good grief.

No kidding? If not for Cruz, we'd have amnesty for up to 20 million illegal aliens about now.

If not for Cruz, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner would have gotten away with the secret backroom good ol boy deal with regards to TPP/TPA.

As Solicitor General of the State of Texas, Ted Cruz sued the Obama administration multiple times and stopped some of Obozo’s illegal executive actions.

So, be a Trump supporter, but stop parroting propaganda.

“Cruz is not responsible for every comment someone in the political realm spews.”

I never said Cruz was responsible for this. The point I was making was that Lindsey Graham and other who don’t like Cruz are supporting him to weaken Trump.

You said...
“Lindsay is right. Ideologically, Cruz and Lindsay and the Washington Political Cartel are like peas in a pod. This is the logical thing to do. Cruz needs to stop all this “conservative” posing. He’s 110% Establishment for 15 years; and he’s a twofer-—his wife is a bigger globalist than he is (which is saying a log for the guy who wants 500,000 more H1b work visas, and unlimited visas for China, India and Mexico. Not to mention his support for TPA and TPP; open borders; North American Union, etc.)”

Yet here we have the Don, who just decided in the last months to become a conservative and his followers lap it up..

Trump has cast quite a spell on his follwers

Perhaps I misunderstood you. Yes, you're right. The establishment hold no allegiance to Cruz or for that matter Rubio or Trump. As long as their agenda advances and their positions are solidified, they'll throw their mama from the train.

They hate Cruz and they prepared to disrupt a Cruz run for president...that is until Trump came along. He’z the wild card. I don't think the establishment really believed Trump would make a serious stab at the nomination. After all, he threatened to do so twice before and stopped. Cry wolf syndrome.

They hate Cruz till they gotta load of Trump...no Trump's the top target. I am a Cruz supporter. He’z my senator and he’z done well for Texans, but I gotta say, I'd cast my lot with Trump were he to capture the nomination...no doubt.

I had really hoped we'd see something like a Trump/Cruz ticket. Damn that would be a double whammy for the good ol boyz.

The inside the Beltway crowd sure puts a lot of stock in what Lindsey’s got to say. Outside the Beltway - not so much. Here in TX, Elizabeth Gray (who?) got 300% more votes for President than did Lindsey.

“The inside the Beltway crowd sure puts a lot of stock in what Lindsey’s got to say.”

I don't really care what Lindsey Graham says. He's a slime ball.

But he is close friends with McCain, the Bushes, Romney and others in the GOP establishment and often speaks for them. Therefore, he often indicates what the Republican establishment is doing.

He was also a member of the Gang of 8 along with McCain, Rubio, Schumer and others.
