Today I spoke with a friend who attended one of the Colorado caucuses yesterday. He said that a large percentage of the people who were publicly pro-Cruz turned out to be pro-Trump in private conversation. Peer pressure.
Our precinct was split 50/50 for Trump and Cruz in the straw poll. The elected delegates appear to be for Trump.
From what I could tell, most of the other precincts elected pro-Cruz delegates.
It is pretty hard to tell what that will mean at the State Convention. In any event, the Colorado delegates to the national convention are not bound to a candidate. They can and often do change their minds.
