I still think that Donald Trump can win and actually take over the Republican Party. But we will see.

They’re not attacking Trump they are attacking those who support him and wish to deny us our RIGHT to vote for the person we choose.

Except in this case, the GOPe sent many so-called conservatives to Congress, then they folded like a cheap tent and/or incumbent Republicans did not support them - or even attacked them. Leadership caved (Boehner, McConnell, and recently Ryan) to Obama, Reid, and Pelosi. The people revolted and attacked the GOPe via the TEA Party and the Trump Tidalwave.
But, the GOPe refuse to answer the issue of “Hey, what did WE do to trigger this?”. The GOPe needs some introspection - a concept which they absolutely cannot grasp. They are genetically incapable of understanding the anger of "the great unwashed" whom they failed.
Trump is a symptom, not the illness.
Romney was - and still is - a dismal failure, not a just-in-time Super Hero.
If Romney had attacked Obama then like he is attacking Trump now, things may have been different.
The GOP aint called the stupid party for nothing. Here we have a great chance to take the White House and we see the old boys club trying to sink Trump. Wonder why they are so scared of Trump? I think they are afraid they might get knocked off the gravy train and be found out for the thieves that they are. Instead of Never Trump I am thinking Never the GOP.

Perhaps Trump really is an honest man and trustworthy. Perhaps he is very sick of the corrupt politicians he has had to deal with over the years, and he knows the skeletons in their closets. Perhaps he really intends to clean out those closets. Perhaps the misgivings of the Cruz people are misplaced.

This sounds like a threat that any politician that supports Trump can say goodbye to his/her future in politics. The GOPe is pulling out all of the stops aren’t they? Reading this just angers me, a supposedly neutral MSM outlet threatening the future of those supporting Trump.

Yep. Both Dem & GOP party bases are rejecting the political class and the chattering classes are desperate to hold on to there jobs. Trump is the best sunshine we’ve ever had into the uniparty corruption.
