Romney - Not One Word About ...
Vanity

Posted on 03/03/2016 8:47:53 AM PST by Williams

Illegal immigration! Not one word because that is what Romney's speech is all about.

And he knows the American people reject the GOPe on that topic.

Plus his speech was full of lies and exaggerations about Trump.

And he of course listed Kasich and Rubio ahead of Cruz because they will do the GOPe bidding on illegals.

Oh at the end he said Mexicans are being used as "scapegoats". I guess they aren't illegal immigrants Trump "imagined" that.

I have heard of denial, but I have never seen it this blatant.
I’m not on about you .

An Independent run has a deadline, right?

My question is, we have the REPUBLICAN PARTY back after 40 years, with a TRUMP win.

TRUMP knows that.

He does not want to run Independent unless he *has* to.

Now, I’m hearing about the establishment wanting someone to run as an Independent. There is lot of hysteria in DC.

LS, I believe we are hearing the LAST GASP of the Uniparty.

I go Independent if a coup succeeds at convention, or write his name in, if it is too late for his name to go to the Independent ticket.

Otherwise, never voting for Hillary. I fought her too long to even consider such a thing. :)

No, I am a social conservative who has always said that if I lived in Germany in the 1930’s I would not have voted for a dangerous demagogue like Hitler. Now, I actually have to prove it. I don’t want Trumps support of war crimes, his calls to limit the freedom of the press, his embrace of the white nationalist movement, or his love of tyrants to be held to my account. #NeverTrump

“Think this is humorous? How do we think OTHER POWS, (I know McCains service means nothing to most) who lived in squalor, fear, pain, probably guilt, and humiliation as POWS, being tortured and watchin others die feel, when they hear they aren’t heroes, they failed, because they were captured, that the possible POTUS only likes those who weren’t?”

Do some research. Trump’s conception of “war hero,” clearly, was someone actually involved in battle. When it was pointed out to him that POW’s could be heroic as well, he admitted FIVE times that McCain was, in fact, a war hero. What more do you WANT from the guy?

As for McCain, “hero” or not, he’s a putrid sack of crap for whom I have absolutely no respect.

Until I see it with my own eyes from Cruz himself that he stands with Romney, I’ll stay in denial mode.

There ya go, exactly what I am referring to. What in the hell does Clinton or the establishment have to do with Trumps baseless, personal attacks against others, specifically POWs?

“Trump’s bad judgement” has never cast U. S. Senate votes enabling the most lawless POTUS in history. Ted Cruz has. Just own Cruz’s awful mistake on TPA and move on. It is what it is.

“Executive Change to Immigration Policy Tied to Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP)”

“Sessions circulated a “Critical Alert” memo last spring in which he listed his “Five Top Concerns With Trade Promotion Authority (TPA).” He noted that TPP “applies not only to the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) but all international trade agreements during the life of the TPA.” (Emphasis in original.) His concerns included: 1. Consolidation of Power in the Executive Branch, 2. Increased Trade Deficits, 3. Ceding Sovereign Authority to International Powers, 4. Currency Manipulation, and 5. Immigration Increases. Under the fifth point, Sessions noted, in part:

There are numerous ways TPA could facilitate immigration increase above current law — and precious few ways anyone in Congress could stop its happening….

Stating that “TPP contains no change to immigration law: is a semantic rather than a factual argument. Language already present in both TPA and TPP provide the basis for admitting more foreign workers, and for longer periods of time, and language could later be added to TPP or any future trade deal to further increase such admissions….

The President has circumvented Congress on immigration with serial regularity. But the TPA would yield new power to the executive to alter admissions while subtracting congressional checks against those actions.”

Seem Trump has many for friends on the right now. Besides, how do you know he won't keep his promises? He doesn't have to act like the GOPe, does he?

Cruz is solid GOPe and has been all along. Lindsey Graham came out yesterday and said they may have to unite behind Cruz to stop Trump

Ohh good grief, Cruz is about as GOPe as Cher is conservative. None at all.

If Lindsey Graham was seriously backing Ted, he could of done it without saying how much he hated Cruz first.

It the GOPe honestly wanted a chance to defeat Trump, they are smart enough to know that means getting everyone out of Cruz's way, not this you get out here and you get out there approach. Patchwork is not going to work.

The GOPe downfall is their pride and hope that one of their darlings miraculously wins, and that is not Cruz (or Trump or course). Their options were to persuade Cruz to get out, that didn't quite go like they wanted, and it didn't help Cruz did better Tuesday than they expected and Rubio worse (like not taking 20% in Alabama which was the threshold of recieving any delegates).

Ben Carson not dropping out of the race I don't think was in their plans either. He now has a few delegates that might be very valuable if things remain tight.

Time is not in their favor, these elitist should of pressured Rubio to drop out before Tuesday. If Cruz could of been bought, you can bet they would of done it by now.
