My opinion I think it’s imperative Trump and Cruz put aside their acrimony. Agree no attacks on each other. They will go after foam boy and the GOPe big time. Agreement will be that if Cruz doesn’t have the delegates to win by the convention, Cruz will swing his support to Trump and something good will be given to Cruz for that obviously. Cruz to be consistent has to maintain an anti-establishment position to be consistent. The GOPe wants him to morph into their image. He must resist this at all costs. The winds of change are moving throughout the land.

I had hoped it would go this way, but judging from the last debate, Cruz would rather throw in his lot with Rubio and the RNC (even though the Republican establishment has hated him as much as they hate Trump). He's either doing this on the deluded notion that he can still win the nomination outright, which is naive but at least not dishonorable, or he has genuine loyalty to the GOP establishment in spite of it all. Maybe the RNC cut him a better deal than Trump could, e.g. a promised VP slot to whoever they nominate (Rubio, or perhaps Romney or Bush) at a brokered convention.
