Thank you for this wonderful letter, Jeff...I, too, am a Cruz supporter but I agree with every word.
I will vote for Trump if he wins the nomination and talk of undermining the leading candidate at convention angers me.

If a person want to remain true to an oath they made, so help them God, to “protect and defend the US Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same,” why should that annoy anyone?
I took that oath, and intend to remain true to it the rest of my life.
If someone tries to use “their” oath to bully me, or to force me to do things “their” way...that is a different matter.
My oath is between me and God. No one else.
The good news: This likely isn't going to work. I just hope people like Mitt, and those that helped talk him into this stupidity, can handle the blow back and the withering response they are about to receive.

The answer is the meek minded toad who made a mockery of a presidential campaign, never even hinting at his opponents many weaknesses. Yet, he chooses to launch torpedo at the SS Donald Trump? As I said...I will vote for whomever my convictions tell me too...and for the reasons I have often stated associated with the Constitution and conservative principles.
If you are attempting to brow beat or bully me into something different....then you are using the same tactic as Romany IMHO...and will fail as much as he is going to fail trying to do the same to Trump.
As I stated in my letter to Romney...if Trump wins the nomination I will support him 100%.
True, that is not an official endorsement, but I would call it a casual or informal one. Maybe it would be better to use the word “supports” ...gotta be careful with all these political terms...He is clearly doing the opposite of endorsing Trump—tho that is ironic because he came out a strong Trump “supporter” last year for Trump.
That said, my question still stands. For those Freepers who support Cruz now, but in 2012 were extremely anti-Romney~even to the point of not voting for him, it should present a problem now that Romney “supports” Cruz.

Because that is an obligation that EVERY American should have. The oath of enlistment includes a lot more stuff than that basic oath to the Constitution. When someone claims they swore THAT oath and that it still applies, then they are accepting the whole thing. You can’t swear an oath and ignore part of it. Its an all or nothing thing.
We were released from our oath at the end of our enlistment. I “protect and defend the US Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same” BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER the term of my enlistment.

The goal is to defeat Hillary or Sanders and get a President who will start turning around Obama’s policies.
Romney was about my 4th choice in 2012. But when he took the nomination, I voted for him against Obama.
If you read my letter above, it is clear that I have stated the exact same thing about Trump, but in much more glowing terms.

I just had this happen with a guy from our marketing department. He’s new, somewhat a skull full of mush with a big glass of Kool aid.
I am one of two people in our company, a household name you would know who works directly, full time with end user customers. He argued strongly about how a competitive product was the main choice of these end users because the research showed it. I replied that I almost never see these products on jobsites. But he’s got RESEARCH rather than the KNOWLEDGE that I have. It was fun.
The only thing Mutt did today is make it loud and clear that the GOP is absolutely infested from top to bottom with Democrap operatives.
