Uniformly denying work visas for highly skilled talent likely displaces no one, and is also impractical for the Country.

As long as it isn't you ox that gets gored.

If Trump gets elected, I think the people of Alabama will figure out quickly that Sessions was totally gullible.

The TDSers are overplaying their hand.

Buddy, I've had to train my foreign replacements on two separate occasions before I was RIF’d - been there done that, I am in IT. I see it every single day - EVERY SINGLE DAY - duplicate situation to the Disney situation.

The H-1B program is rife with abuse, anyone knows that. But you cannot become a country that is afraid to take the best and brightest from other countries. IF there is no American counterpart.

If I want a labourer couldn’t I get one on a H-1 visa?

H-1 visas are for professionals STEM, doctors, nurses etc. LOL.

It is corporate welfare for the Zuckerbergs of the world so that can afford 300 foot yachts instead of 200 foot long yachts.

Not in this case, it is common practice in this location because there is difficulty in hiring locals at below market wages, he explained that.

Fixed.

The issue is, either way, regardless of what anyone does - if a company wants cheaper labor and can’t bring it onshore, they will offshore or even move parts of the company overseas.

That would be fine. The we could subject them to tariffs and taxation.

You might want to check that again. H-2Bs are for Temporary Non-Agricultural workers. L visas are for intracompany transferees. Link

We aren't taking the best and brightest. We'd grant maybe twenty permanent immigrants if that was the case. We're bringing in over 1,000,000 per year (all visa programs combined) to find twenty people?

The number of H-1B petitions filed increased 6 percent from 299,467 in FY 2013 to 318,824 in FY 2014.

 The number of H-1B petitions approved increased 10 percent from 286,773 in FY 2013 to 315,857 in FY 2014.1

 Seventy-two percent of H-1B petitions approved in FY 2014 were for workers between the ages of 25 and 34.

 Forty-five percent of H-1B petitions approved in FY 2014 were for workers with a bachelor’s degree, 43 percent had a master’s degree, 8 percent had a doctorate, and 4 percent were for workers with a professional degree.

 Sixty-five percent of H-1B petitions approved in FY 2014 were for workers in computer- related occupations.

 The median salary of beneficiaries of approved petitions increased from $72,000 for FY 2013 to $75,000 for FY 2014.

Of the petitions approved in 2014, a total of 124,326 petitions, or 39 percent, were for initial employment.

For example, we gave over 1000 foreign lawyers, 2500 artists, 600 writers, etc. H-1B visas. This is insanity. It needs to stop.

H1-B has nothing to do with illegal alien invasion. It has to do with college graduates coming legally. We want productive , educated , controlled legal immigration. Calm down.

After hearing Trumps “softening” I am sure Zuckerberg will now order an even bigger yacht and bigger plane.

Of course, Trump is perfect. But you still haven’t explained everything. Trump apologists are blaming it on Megyn Kelly. How did she put words in his mouth?

I couldn’t care less what Zuckerberg buys with his money.

I care about Americans losing jobs and the growing welfare state.
