I remember that day too. He was amazing. It was hilarious. He was such a good guy. And we both came around to conservatism by just taking a good grown up look at the Hollywood liberal life we were born into. I adored him. We needed him. Maybe he should have been more careful.

He occasionally subbed for Dennis Miller. He did the week before he died. He sounded fine although I was annoyed that he extolled Bill Ayers’ cooking. Of course, that was always the part of his death that made me suspicious...
