The Welfare State by definition and seen in practice here demoralizes those who take its cash handouts. pre-War on Poverty, I was taught never to put my hand out for that money. Over 50 years later, after generations of anti-rugged individualist propaganda, Americans feel entitled to ask for whatever they can get from one another’s pockets. We've been set up to see each other as enemies. Now that the medical system is succumbing to this anti-Capitalist onslaught, our very lives will be endangered. We'll all be victims of the Welfare State.

But let's not restrict it to cash handouts. Public education is a welfare program. It's socialized education. Yet most parents thoughtlessly accept it, and the end result is a young adult with a brain consisting of government cheese.
