One more time.

This is the complete summary of the bill. Cruz was instrumental in getting TPA into the house bill that allowed final passage of TPA.

Are you saying he did not make the vote? Are you saying he did not coauthor the article supporting TPA with Paul Ryan in the WSJ. He only voted against final cloture after he claimed MConnell lied to him. The fact MConnell lied to him only supports my contention that Ceuz is just a useful tool of the GPOe.

HR2146 was originally introduced in the House of Representatives as a bill to address issues with retirement funds of federal law enforcement officers and firefighters.

In April of 2015 Senator Ted Cruz and House Ways and Means Chairman, Representative Paul Ryan, supported TPA being added to HR2146. Their support was most notable when they posted the following Op-Ed which appeared in the Wall Street Journal on April 22nd:

http://paulryan.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=398270

On May 12th HR2146 passed/agreed to in House: On motion to suspend the rules and pass the bill, as amended. Agreed to by the Yeas and Nays: (2/3 required): 407 – 5 (Roll no. 220). (text: CR H2848) The bill passed the house 407-5 because it was not controversial.

As planned, on June 4th 2015 The senate passed the house bill “with changes” notably an amendment “adding TPA” (thanks to Ted Cruz) and TAA (needed for Elizabeth Warren coalition) By unanimous consent thereby avoiding a roll vote on record.

https://www.congress.gov/congressional-record/2015/house-section/page/H4507-4518

On June 18, 2015 the House accepted the TPA change (Paul Ryan spearhead) and removed TAA (the financial assistance package for training of union workers – this angered the Pelosi Dems). Nancy Pelosi had to be arm twisted by the White House to go along with HR2146 with TAA spending removed – she acquiesced.

Without TAA HR2146 passed again in the House, only this time with a much closer vote of 218-208, and went back to the Senate to resolve differences. (The difference was the removal of TAA)

https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/2146

On June 24th HR2146 (TPA without TAA) Then passed the Senate (Ted Cruz did not attempt to block or filibuster because this was the original plan all along). The bill passed in the Senate 60-38 (3/5ths passage rule).

http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?&congress=114&session=1&vote=00219

On June 29th Obama signed it and HR2146 became law.

Cruz won twice as many votes in Kansas as Trump and more than the entire GOP field combined in 2012.

The rest of us have formed our values and looked for a candidate who shares them. Trump supporters have found a candidate whose personality they like and shifted all their beliefs to be in line behind whatever he says. That’s the way leaders have taken hold in most countries throughout history. America was supposed to be different, a democracy where leaders followed the dictates of the people. Trump supporters want a very different country from traditional America. They want a strongman President who does all their thinking for them.

Trust me, I've been on the internets for almost 20 years now battling liberalism/progressivism. What I highlighted in bold is the belief of so many leftists I have encountered with on the world wide webs.

The truth is, we are NOT a true democracy, WE are a Constitutional Republic. Our government is supposed to be limited in what it can do and doesn't trample on our God-given rights. No one can "dictate" what our government can do if it tramples on those rights. Think about this, those that dictate, are dictators. We are not supposed to be a government that sets up dictators, no matter where it comes from.

What many Americans fail to see is the 100 year rise of the left in this country and its assault on our Constitution. It's been slow and methodical and is now ingrained in to every facet of our culture.

The citizens were never supposed to be able to vote themselves a piece of the treasury but that is exactly what has happened while so many politicians have ignored our Constitution. You can blame the 16th Amendment for this fiasco. That gave politicians the power give away the treasury, for the citizens vote, that helps keep the same power structure in power, and keeps many of its citizens dependent on the government and really slaves to the whole scenario. The 16th Amendment was passed with many controversies but the power brokers knew what they were doing, by hook or by crook.

The disastrous results for our country has been a massive debt of well over 20 trillion by the time 0bama leaves office. That threatens the future of this country that so many in power structure in Washington DC and also, the citizens that think they can "dictate" government goodies for themselves are all responsible for helping this fiasco by believing we are a democracy.

Had we stuck to being a Constitutional Republic, we would not be anywhere in this mess. Repeal and replace the 16th Amendment would go a longs ways in helping to fix the mess if we are still able to.

This is why I would rather take a risk on Donald Trump as an outsider as he does have a fairly Constitutional platform and promised to stick to the Constitution as President. Also, Trump as an outsider, as we all have witnessed the power structure in this country, is scared to death of a true outsider coming in. It is time to get this country back on track or we will probably be done with what we have left of a Constitutional Republic.

I am not too concerned about that since our local medias ran so much of the GOPe/Romney attacks just prior to the caucus. Trump should have run ads to counter but it is what it is.

Kansans pay way too much attention to our local medias. That's pretty much with what I've figured out. Trust me, I've dealt with them and they are very progressive and do have an agenda. It got us Sebelius twice and darn near got an uber-liberal to defeat Brownback in the last governor election.

I'm not the biggest Brownback fan but I did like how he cut taxes and tried to cut more spending. The local medias whipped up Kansans in a fury when they did not like more cuts coming and eventually got Brownback to cave. I was very disappointed when Brownback caved to them because this state is in some serious need of cuts in government. It was Sebelius, liberal republicans and dems that grew our government to unsustainable levels but you'll never hear that on our local medias. Instead, all you'll hear is it is all Brownback's fault. People here need to seriously reject our local medias.

Perhaps conservatives in Kansas ignored the local media as usual and preferred Cruz over Trump.

Perhaps, but I've seen too many cases of the media whipping up Kansans in a fury and they get their way or almost get their way. I've personally dealt with some of the medias and they do not like a Constitutional conservative message.

The whole attack on Trump last week was all coordinated to try to bring him down a notch and apparently it worked. Whether it was to take out Trump or to help Cruz just enough so they can possibly get to a brokered convention and take out both candidates, there is no doubt it worked.

Here’s another really radical idea. Perhaps Kansas conservatives prefer to vote for a conservative candidate. Cruz would fit that description, but not Trump. Some people aren’t so easily swayed by either the media or by others around them.

If you believe that Cruz is the most conservative, that's fine. I'm not a Cruz hater and I do believe he has done some good things in the Senate. It's the power broker ties that bothers me about Cruz. Go look in the opensecrets link and you'll see Goldman Sachs is one of his donors. Then go look in 0bama's 2008 donors and you will also see Goldman Sachs as one of his major donors.

It's that Washington DC power cabal that disgusts me about this as these organizations win no matter if is democrat or republican and it's the American people, our Constitution, and our freedoms that get screwed with that whole DC establishment that continues to stay in place whether it is run by dems or repubs.

Believe it or not, Trump is running on a fairly conservative platform as well. The 2 I am most supportive of is the enforcement of illegal immigration and he will support the 2nd amendment that has been under attack by the left. There are more but those 2 are very important in our times and worth the risk of a Trump presidency and I do understand he has some baggage but I do know what I am getting with him and that is a true outsider, outside the Washington DC power cabal.

I will support the winner of the nomination. Right now, it certainly looks like that will be Trump.

Here again is the roll call vote for cloture: Roll Call 218

Cruz is a 'NO' vote, which proves your claim against Ted Cruz to be demonstratively false.

And here is the final vote on the TPA bill: Roll Call 219

Again, Ted Cruz voted against the final bill. Again, this proves your claim to be demonstratively false. Please stop lying about what Ted Cruz did. Ted Cruz voted against cloture. Ted Cruz voted against TPA. He even wrote an editorial stating why.

I gave you the proof and also his WSJ article with Paul Ryan, some people are to blind and without sense of smell to even find one acorn.

Tired of trying to deal with an unreasonable person. Dirty Ted goes down. tEd says Trump has mob connections but no proof. Cruz says media sitting on Trump info. If so, call out the reporters or news organizations. He cannot because it is all made up. He voted for the Corker amendment that has major impacts on our security. He has not authored and past one significant piece of legislation. He did cut the deal with McCOnnell along with Paul to abstain from supporting conservative alternatives to incumbent Senators in 2014 for a few pieces of silver in the form of please let me run for President.

His campaign has been full of dirty tricks. Enough of the charlatan.
