We need to pay register voters to take classes on free enterprise vs socialism.
We need to educate voters. There are 360 million people, but 207 million are on the voter roles. They are the ones we need to reach.
We must bypass the MSM and schools and colleges. We need to address them too. Public service advertising on the MSM, getting the bias towards socialism out of the schools. But the immediate need is to educate our voters.
We can't mandate classes. If we didn't already recognize that as un-American, Obamacare should have taught us how that would be received.
But we do give tax credits or rebates periodically as economic stimulus packages. So the next one could be structured as a payment in return for taking a class. I'd recommend a straight payment instead of a credit or rebate, because we want to reach all voters, not just employed ones.
Structure the class as an online class. That would minimize the cost.
Not everybody has internet access, but you could have community centers set up computers and offer access to the classes. In fact you could offer free computers to the community centers in exchange for getting at least 8 people per computer to take the class. ($500 computer/8 people = $40/class)
You could mail a code to the address on the voter registration roles. The check would be made out to the voter when the corresponding code is registered and completes the class with a passing grade.
It would be hard to game the system, unless you have already gamed the voter registration system. Yeah a few dead democrats would probably get extra checks, but those dead democrats probably need the course the most.
Education is not going to work unless the free enterprise system is producing sufficient jobs. That's one of the reasons that socialism is seeming attractive right now. People have seen too much turmoil in the job market. They are scared. I blame our own stupid government and their traitorous trade deals.
