This caucus stuff is crap. It is staged to be exclusionary to new voters. Closed primaries are cool, but a caucus is crap.

I kind of like the caucus. You have to be dedicated to count—keeps the lazy out.

Caucusing is a great way to choose delegates for State and county level delegates to choose State Reps and State Senators and other local partisan candidates. It breaks down in Presidential elections with large turnouts. There is a lot of talk this week in Minnesota about making the presidential vote a primary and keeping the caucus for other offices and party business. Apparently there is support for a change in both parties. It will be interesting to see how it works out.
