This thread was started about 5 days ago with excellent intentions.
Unfortunately, IMHO, the level of invective and vitriol has not abated... indeed, it appears to me it has increased. There are threads that start, and then within seconds, it gets pounced with a pack mentality, if not a coordinated effort, to pummel the race’s #2 candidate.
I’ve cut participation way back, to occasional posts in non-2016-race threads, but perhaps will go further than that.
It’s a sad, sad day at FR.

NOW I understand why trumpstas are allowed to attack anyone who supports Ted Cruz here. Any thread involving anything positive about Ted Cruz, he or she gets attacked and called vulgar names and be accused of being (a.b.c., etc., and so on with no consequences.) NOW I understand.

The fact is, Donald Trump has embraced policy positions which are eminently conservative. Period. He's not a fraud. What is fraudulent is the hand-wringing assertion that Donald Trump is a fraud.

What a difference a week makes. I anticipate lots of very sad opportunities for all of us FReepers to repent and commiserate in the months ahead. Permanent damage is occuring.
