They don’t ‘represent the people’ yet they are still in business. I understand there is a blatant duplicity of media and politicians, but there are also a substantial number of citizens in Europe who often have bigger bleeding hearts than here in America.
They are just now coming to see the fruits of their folly with their disconnected liberalism and wishes for a peaceful, diverse society. It is too, too bad they chose to express that desire for diversity in an a wholly insane facsimile of religion such as Islam and welcoming of its acolytes with open arms.
The dying bleats of a dead society carry no import.

Europe hated my ancestors. They were run out of every country in Europe. Except Luxembourg. The Luxembourgians thought my ancestors were some kind of traveling clown show. They would sit and watch my ancestors for hours laughing and clapping. The Luxembourgians were laughing and clapping. My ancestors were trying to seduce the royalty and make off with the royal jewels.
I consider it an honor that most Europeans hate me and my family. They eat snails and jellied fish and worship turnips.

Europeans can not understand that the present Wave of Madness is no different from the previous Waves of Madness--Naziism, Communism, World War I, the Inquisition--all of them! They are Madness! Nothing else!
And through the filter of their own Madness, Europeans think the sane are insane!

They hate any American who’s patriotic. They always hate Republicans; they always hate conservatives. Anyone who’s ever argued with Europeans knows it’s just like arguing with liberals. They have the exact same perspective. So naturally they hate Trump.

Pissing off the "global elites" is a major part of Trump's appeal. People here tend to see that as a positive, not a negative.
The "global elites" would prefer to see America more like Europe - socially extremely liberal, economically socialist, run by "One World" robots who are horrified by the idea of American exceptionalism.
So, ya know, a lot of people here in the USA really like it when somebody like Trump "flips the bird" to the "global elites", most of whom are not on our side anyway.
Trump scares them. After the last seven and a half years they aren't used a strong American leader, and it upsets their apple cart.
Most of our allies, especially Israel, would be very happy to see America stepping up to the plate, resuming her proper place on the world stage, so that they could once again have a dependable ally.
And don't worry, if Trump wins, the White House is going to look like the wedding scene from "The Godfather", with the "global elites" lining up outside the Oval Office to kiss his ring. So much for the "global elites's" opinion..

I lived there in Germany from 1972-75 and in England in 1976. I remember hatred for Americans, even a lot of jealousy and rancor from Brits.
Our country provided their security and safety to Europe all throughout the Cold War - and we got griping dislike and kickback all throughout. Our cost allowed them to devote their resources into the finer aspects of their economies and for their citizens to become more open to liberal ideas because they were insulated from the dangers.
They imported Turks - large, large numbers of them as Gastarbeiters to do their sh!twork. Decades and decades of good economy, great jobs, benefits and free time to travel and see the third world in vacations three-four times a year.
Flash forward today, those guest Turks had lots of babies, they had lots of relatives. They got refugees from everywhere and they still didn’t believe. Until their daughters, sisters and wives started getting raped my human throwbacks from the 4th century. And it is frankly too late for them.

Yes, marxist/socialist/communist politicians and newspapers in Europe should indeed start trumpeting their fear of Trump because I have little doubt he will demand they defend their own pacifist sorry asses and start bringing our troops home.

Europeans today HATE Americans. The reason is that Americans are everything Europeans wish they could be.
When I lived there the standard comments were: "Just give me Texas and a swimming pool" and "The best thing that could happen to a German girl is to marry a nice American man, take her back to America!"
Europe has damned itself to destruction. It will be conquered by Islam, and strict measures of Sharia will be imposed upon Europeans.
Europeans subconsciously yearn for the absolutes that Islam promises. They will get them.
Europeans have a powerful death wish. They are in the process of fulfilling it.
They hate themselves. They hate their culture. They see no reason to pass it on to future generations. Hell! They see no reason to produce future generations!
All of this is beyond their comprehension. Delusions, by definition, prevent the deluded from comprehending truth and reality.
They cannot understand their madness--and the periodic Waves of Madness that sweep over them.
They cannot understand that their present Wave of Madness is merely another manifestation of the Nazi Madness, the Communist Madness, the Madness of the Religious Wars.
They believe that each Wave of Madness is the final extirpation of all the previous Waves of Madness. Yet each is merely another expression of them all.
Perhaps this latest Wave of Madness will bring about the final fulfillment of the European Death Wish and destroy Europe once and for all.
Who knows?
If it doesn't, perhaps the next one will.
Or the next.
Or the next.
My experience there just a few years later than you was drastically different.
Trump has all the right enemies.
The reason they hate Trump here is because of what it can represent over there. If great, big America can elect a nationalist, rather than a globalist, it may unleash their own patriots. Every nation has a “Trump” of their own. Not as famous worldwide as DJT is, but believe me, every one of these European countries has an old-timer with a few nickels of his own, who looks around his nation and thinks “What in the hell is going on here?”
So far, the press and the PC bullcrap has kept them cowered thru the incessant bullying of those who disagree with all this “progress.”
They don’t want a Trump win over here to give the little people any ideas over there.
