Trump Sticks It To Fox News And Megyn Kelly When He Gives THIS To Moderators Mid-Debate

Did Donald Trump's fax finally settle the debate over the facts?

One of the more contentious moments for the GOP front-runner at the latest Republican primary debate came when Sen. Marco Rubio and debate moderator Megyn Kelly questioned the performance record of Trump University, a now-defunct real estate training program that spawned class-action lawsuits by former students as well as a lawsuit by New York's attorney general.

On the stage, Trump maintained that the program, which was renamed the Trump Entrepreneur Initiative before ceasing operations in 2011, had earned an "A" rating from the Better Business Bureau, which both Kelly and Rubio disputed.

"The rating from the Better Business Bureau was a D minus," Kelly insisted.

Trump said that grade had been changed.

"It was elevated to an A," he countered over and over.

The dispute over the facts and Trump's veracity was left there during the televised face-off. However, at a commercial break shortly before the debate ended, Trump left the stage to hand a fax to Fox News' Brett Baier, who also moderated the event. Here is the moment captured by Independent Journal Review.

That fax, as Trump trumpeted via Twitter and in a Facebook post, contained the updated BBB letter grade.

The allegations around Trump University, the class-action lawsuits and the attorney general’s case, are likely to continue dogging the billionaire businessman. But on one aspect of the issue, anyway, he might have made the grade.

I’ll look at them later. I do see that there were 24 complaints. TWENTY FOUR out of how many people who attended? If only 100 attended, then I could see a problem but he had 10,000 (I think) It’s a drop in the ocean.

There are over 5,000 plaintiffs amongst the three lawsuits, and how many people simply wrote off the initial $1,500 as a big mistake?

You are right, the only people who benefit from these class actions are the lawyers. The little people (victims) get peanuts.

RICO cases are different. Plaintiffs get trebled damages plus their legal fees. The federal RICO statutes are part of the Federal Criminal Code, and also provides for civil remedies to encourage private citizens to go after people who run racketeering enterprises that have some nexus to interstate commerce.

Trump, to use an old military phrase, is a target rich environment. With Trump there is so much sleaze, the media will not have to lie. Not so with Ted Cruz.

No complaints to the BBB ... just two class action law suits. Uh huh, yep, clean as a friggin’ whistle. Fine educational institution. Right up there with Wharton and Tufts. Mmmhmmm.

“Yep. With a 98% approval rate, most graduates from Trump’s school are apparenly gruntled.”

I bet they were given a survey during the seminar. Everyone who falls for a scam is excited at first but once they figure out they were scammed, not so much.

It seems like there were 10,000 victims and about half of them are involved in the lawsuit. The other half are too embarrassed to admit they were taken.

Trump has all the credibility of a Nigerian prince. Look at his record, not his rhetoric.

I was not discussing the lawsuit.
I was referring to the complaints to BBB.

Not, if you're a former visiting law professor.

Scored, again; or maybe just a funny smartass reply to an idiot.

If there are 5,000+ plaintiffs in lawsuits against Trump University, there had to be plenty of complaints to warrant a ‘D-’ with the BBB.

If there is so much sleaze, why do they need to make it up?

David Duke was a made up story

Who cares what some former KKK leader writes on his blog

Does every crack pot get their say in the election process? IF so, why?

Mob ties in his taxes? Seriously that is made up, does Cruz think that you just write off Mofia expenses on the 1040MOB form? This guy can’t be that dumb

Trump University? Really? That is the best they can find? By that standard, every college and university is a scam.

You want sleaze, poke into Hillary’s past

Its a class action lawsuit, everyone who attended in a period of time is a “plaintiff” and most people just chuck the stupid post card in the trash can to withdraw from the lawsuit. So 5,000 imaginary plaintiffs so the lawyers can shake down Trump

Too bad you are a liberal who supports this kind of anti-capitalist behavior

The BBB is a hack organization

I have a D rating with them because I refused to give them money. No complaints from anyone, my business does not deal with the general public, but that is besides the point.

I got a mailing from them one day, stating I have a D rating, they instructed me to fill out a form and send in a membership fee

I put it through the paper shredder

The BBB is not a government agency, they are a shakedown industry, they are powerless.

I recently received such a postcard and tossed it in my circular file. I hope I’m not being used to up some numbers in a lawsuit. BTW, the time in question was 2010-2012. I started using that company in 2015 so I saw no reason for me to be involved, nor did I care to.

Any of those cards, it states that if you don’t contact them, you will be part of the lawsuit, one of the “thousands” angry customers of the company.

Basically, you are being used, you are a number. If you want to withdraw from the lawsuit they state you or your attorney can send them a certified letter stating your withdrawal, so now you have to pay postage, like $6.00, your time, paper and envelope to get out of a lawsuit that you never had any intentions of filing.

And if you get a settlement, like $5.00, you have to prove that you were a victim, a receipt, invoice, credit card charge, etc.

In the end of the day, you were just used to get that lawfirm a 10 million dollar settlement.

I am sure they will thank you

I’m aware what BBB is all about. I researched them years back and so I do agree with you. They are a scam. I laugh when someone brings up BBB.

Point here is, the media is making BBB a god.
So Trump is showing them what it said.
Maybe Trump will expose BBB.

Trump needs to rip into the BBB

They are a loser organization

Nothing for than a for profit “racket”

You send them money, instant “A” rating and probably a sticker to put on your front door, big deal

Since we have the internet, what is the point of the BBB nowadays? Yelp, google ratings, etc seem to do the same thing
