Charlotte is very liberal.
Across the SC line in Fort Mill it is uber conservative. All the Conservatives have fled Charlotte for lower taxed SC (according to my kids)

Difference between N.C. & S.C. is great. N.C. is more focused on their colleges and is more liberal. S.C. considers itself to be “genteel” and laid back. Very cultured and historical as well as a tourist attraction.
