I think so. Add the others in this list (- Mention what your core nonnegotiable points are; - incorporate real-life stories of where the war on Christians (yes, war on Christians), even in this country, is impacting jobs (cite example); - send your spokesmen out to highlight your good deeds/charitable acts; - include pictures of yourself from military school in ads/videos wherever possible).
The military thing is great, I think. He doesn't have to talk about it or they'll be yapping about how it's just high school, but the VISUAL is powerful and projects strong leadership.
