The next 9 days shall tell the tale. We are in crunch time.

Trump needs to "close the deal" and build such a commanding delegate lead by winning most of the upcoming primaries that the rest of the GOP are forced to get behind him. If Kasich is allowed to muddy the waters in OH and MI and Cruz elsewhere, we are unfortunately on the path to a brokered convention where the GOPe will have an opportunity to slip in Mitt, or somebody equally repulsive.

If Cruz is going to be the nominee, he must win decisively in most of the upcoming primaries. I think the odds are much longer for him though. He needs to show he can win outside the Midwest and I'm not talking about a couple of sparsely attended caucuses in Maine and Alaska.

Cruz seems only able to win caucuses where lies and intimidation work to sway voters before they vote.

I don’t believe he’s even won one primary, has he?
