Trump will simply pretend to receive a fax from Will saying the opposite. Trumpbots will proclaim everyone else is an establishment liar.
One glaring logic hole in the arguments the Cruz supporters if we accept Trump would have a tough time in the general..what would your guy do? Cruz is not going to be the nominee, the math, the states he has to win, not at all probable. If Trump could and would not beat Hillary then what is your argument for Ted C? Are some of you really that deluded to think Ted C is some facsimile of Reagan , that he can win in states like California, Florida, Ohio, PA and Michigan. Ted C would get murdered in the general and this is the WHOLE FREAKING PITCH WHY TRUMP IS THE BEST DAMN CHOICE. Some of you have heads hard as granite. I personally don’t love DT all that much, his penchant for getting mouth diarrhea, his flip flopping on some issues, his style and tone. But he is a world away form Hillary or Bernie, it’s not even debatable that Trump is better than those two. We are not picking a Pope here, juts a guy MOST likely to not pick our pockets, sell us down the river to China and Russia and genuinely loves America. I am not into pyrrhic victories, some of you can take your principals and your piety and stick it up your pretentious wazoos and let the grownups vote.
At this time on 1980, Reagan was polling behind Carter.
I don’t see Cruz going anywhere after his wins on Sat.
Cruz voted to give Obama fast track authority!
The fact is that Carson dropped out of the race and his votes went to Cruz.
Many Rubio voters also switched at the last minute and went to Cruz.
Trump isn't underperforming, Cruz over performed due to a number of factors that won't be repeated in the next primaries.
Well said!
George Will is dead. He just doesn’t know it.
George Will
George Wont
George Cant
George Dont
I don’t think he’s really peaked. I also suspect that a lot of the head-to-head polls pitting him (and others) against Clinton are not quite on the mark. Trump is a distruptive political force. The establishment don’t know how to deal with that.
DT IS the establishment. You cannot get more establishment than DT.
Ted Cruz is the most hated man in DC. He has been bucking the establishment in the Senate since day one. His conservative credentials are impeccable.
DT has a LONG history of supporting Democrat presidential candidates including John Kerry.
In 2006 DT generously contributed to both Harry Reid’s and Nancy Pelousy’s campaign committees thus enabling the Democrats to take control of Congress that year and paving the way for their 2008 victory.
For these and many other reasons, DT can NEVER be trusted.
“Ted Cruz is the most hated man in DC. He has been bucking the...”
Oh dont give this bullshot anymore.
This guy has tossed in with Romney and friends. He slings around their KKK talking points and doesn’t have the stones to even be critical of the gope’s sleazy tactics.
All of the copy and past boilerplate from his deluded amen corner cant paste over this anymore.
Wear the sash proudly! You are going to have to put on the Gope magic underwear soon anyway.
Like who are you people trying to fool anyway?
I think what he really means is, “I hope we have passed peak Trump.”
Liberals on the right still stampeding to be the first to report this exclusive: Trump is done.
And his numbers continue to climb.
Will should visit America some time.
I’m voting Trump tomorrow here in Idaho.
It's 384-300 in a race to 1237... Trump folk like to pretend it is over, but this is the closest race in a long time. NY (Apr 19) folk whine all the time that the primary system means that they never get to pick the nominee... but they are in a very decisive position, and likely get to crown both local nominees (Hillary and Trump) this cycle.
At this time on 1980, Reagan was polling behind Carter.
Yes, but this year, Trump is underperforming his own polling repeatedly, and badly.
Iowa was a 4.7 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he lost by 3.3 (8 pt swing)
OKL was a 11.4 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he lost by 6.1 (17.5 pt swing)
SC was a 17.1 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he won by "only" 9.9 (7.2 pt swing)
Alaska was a 4.1 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he lost by 2.9 (7 pt swing)
KS was a 6.1 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he lost by 24.9 (31 pt swing)
Texas was a 9.0 point win for Cruz just days before the vote... and Cruz won by 17.1 (8.1 pt swing)
Virginia was a 14.5 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he won by 2.8 (11.7 pt swing
Tennessee was a 18.0 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he won by 14.2 (3.8 pt swing)
VT was a 15.0 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he won by 2.3 (12.7 pt swing)
