Foreign diplomats voicing alarm to U.S. officials about Trump

A Chinese official referred to a statement last week from China's foreign ministry spokeswoman. Asked whether China was concerned about Trump's proposal to place high tariffs on Chinese goods, Hua Chunyin declined to comment on specific candidates. But she said "I want to stress" that China and the United States have "major responsibilities" in maintaining international political and economic stability.

Representatives of other countries publicly attacked by Trump, including Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam either had no comment or did not respond to requests for comments.

Several American foreign policy experts said foreign diplomats have complained to them as well.

"All foreign diplomats I’ve talked to are amazed at the Trump phenomenon and worried about it, especially in the Middle East and Europe,” said Elliott Abrams, senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations think tank who handled Middle East affairs at the National Security Council from 2001 to 2009 under then-President George W. Bush.

I don’t like Trump, but this stuff doesn’t bother me one bit. Being thought a bit crazy isn’t always a bad thing in negotiations.

Just read this! We've had ALL we're going to take from you Godless people! Trump is only saying what millions of us have been screaming for YEARS, only to have it fall on deaf, corrupted, Godless ears of compromised politicians. If all of you are that upset, then we DO have the right candidate.

Every foreign trade agreement we have agreed to in the past 60 or 70 years screws the United States. At first, after the War, we could “afford” it; but it just keeps getting worse and worse.

“Free trade” has been a cover for “they trade freely, and we get screwed.”

More “don’t vote for Trump” pablum. That’s all the GOP have got. They are intellectually and morally bankrupt.

A lot of countries have gotten used to apologies from the US. And the US prioritizing foreign aid (i.e. promoting homosexuality, condoms, etc overseas) above taking care of our veterans. And the US having military deployed all over the world to keep them safe when we have $19 trillion debt and it may be time to re-evaluate the best use of our military budget.

I can certainly imagine foreign leaders not happy about Trump.

It has nothing to do with being thought a bit craxy. Trump threatens their rice bowls. They are getting away with murder as the trade deficits grow and grow while China and others benefit from outsourcing of our jobs and our manufacturing base. The stakes are enormous.

And Trump is saying things that resonate in Europe among the public as their leaders destroy their culture and open their borders to the Third World. There is a huge "anti-immigrant" movement in Europe and increased nationalism that threatens the political class. We are in the middle of a global revolution and Trump speaks to it.

These foreign diplomats are not complaining about Trump. They are really complaining about U.S. voters.

The diplomats are going to learn the hard way, just like the GOPe. American voters have had enough of the status quo. When Trump becomes president, it is not going to be business as usual. Better get used to it, foreigners.
