I’m sorry, no matter how confusing a ballot is if one cannot step inside a voter booth and figure it out or ask a poll worker to help explain then the person voting need not waste what little gray matter remains to cast a vote.

I’ve never heard of a more inept population that cannot simply get in a quiet place and figure this out.

The point is, no matter how stupid you think people might be for filling out the ballots wrong, we know there will be a certain percent who don’t fill it out right. Those are just the facts. The problem isn’t with the people who fill them out wrong. It’s with the people who are going to decide what to do with improperly filled ballots. The more confusing they can make the ballot, the more ‘stupid people’, as you call them, who will fill them out wrong. And the more improperly filled out ballots, the more raw material the cheaters will have to sway the vote the way they want to.

Just to give you an example of how cheaters could take advantage of this, imagine that officials in a district that favors Trump, they decide to throw out improperly filled ballots, and then imagine in a district which favors Kasich, they decide that if the candidate is marked in one spot, they’ll accept it. That’s a way that the establishment could take advantage of this to give a boost to Kasich.
