With all due respect to Cruz this just doesn’t wash. He is winning very predictable states and mostly caucuses.

With all due respect to Trump, he is pulling in poll numbers, but not votes. Trump underperforms his polling almost ever time. (Possibly buying polls? It would explain things.) Cruz was supposed to win only TX by the polling, and he has won AK, IA, KS, ME, OK, and TX. KS was polling Trump 35-29 on 3/3, and ended 23-48 Cruz on 3/5. That's massive... a 31 pt swing in two days.

Trump folks like to pretend that caucuses (caucii?) are somehow just cabals of a few politically-connected voters, but the only actual difference is that primaries are secret ballots while caucuses allow open discussions, mostly meaning fewer hours for the polls to be open. That's all... and OKL is a primary state that was polling 32-20 Trump on 2/28, and ended 28-34 Cruz on 3/1... an 18 pt swing in 2 days among 450,000 voters in a primary state

More importantly, Trump is polling behind Hillary, and he has yet to outperform a single poll by more than the margin of error.

Trump will take PA. He’ll get the disaffected, underemployed here. Former steel workers, machinists, miners & factory workers will vote for him. I “check” my college age sons twitters, vines and instagrams (no democracy in my family...I pay the phone bill, I creep to see what’s going on) and I am pleasantly surprised that there is no feeling the Bern (they get SOMEONE has to eventually pay for “free.”) and there is a surprising amount of respect for Mr Trump.

Yes! Trump needs to win New York, Mass, CT and New Jersey and beyond!

The most liberal states... while Cruz pockets, by massive numbers (48-27 and 38-26, and a half million votes), the most Conservative states (TX and OK, the only state where Obama didn't take a single county). What does that say about the candidates?

“Cruz will say the most untrue things with such conviction it is freaky.”

I think that comes from his debating background. In debating competitions you need to be prepared to argue either side of whatever subject gets chosen and do so with 100% conviction.

The same with the Rubio campaign and the Kasich campaign. All three are drawing from the same pool of voters.

Also, Trump is appealing to all demographics.

Dumb post. Trump buying polls?? OK. He’s buying the media polls, yeah right. Actually, Trump is performimg his polls just fine. Caucuses are a ridiculous way to select a candidate and they cannot be polled with a large degree of certainty. But Trump is most certainly polling to expectation in primary states. If anyone is underperforming in primary states, it’s Cruz. Worst tallies for a homestate candidate in 108 years with his Texas “win”. Ted was pathetic in Texas. Ted can only win caucuses and very conservative and very religious voters. Hell of a coalition to win in November isnt it?

No, what’s freaky is how often and how damnable Trump IS IN HIS LIES. He lies about EVERYTHING.

In one debate, after Rubio said he was fined $1 million for hiring illegal Polish workers, Trump lied and said that wasn’t true. Cruz followed up and said, yes it is true — and it is true Your guy lies about every damn thing — and shame on you and your pals here for supporting another NY liberal. He thought he could get away with it. He acts like scum.

Then when he was in Sparks, Nevada he said he (Trump) was the only person still in the state. Everyone else had left — and he (Trump) alone deserves your vote. HE LIED AGAIN. Cruz was across town in Sparks.

It is disgusting to see people here supporting a NY liberal — who has given money to the Clintons, Kerry, Pelosi and Reid. Maybe you can tell me what happened at Trump’s meeting with Bill Clinton before Trump decided to run. What did they talk about? What deals were made? Your boy will screw the American people — and you won’t know what hit you. I do everything I can morally and ethically to politically decimate your serial adulterer and serial liar friend.

Any increase in votes for Cruz now is anti-Trump. These are not supporters of him on a personal or policy level.

With all due respect to Cruz this just doesn’t wash. He is winning very predictable states and mostly caucuses. There hasn’t yet been one shred of evidence thus far in 2016 that Ted has brought in anyone new at all. Trump is doing that. Trump is winning the northeast (save for tiny Maine) and the south as well!

Yep. And for the 10,000 time in this campaign ME Too Teddy jumps on the coat tails of Trump and attempts to coop Trump’s message.

Trump is appealing to all demographics.

True, and no other Republican does that. That is the difference. The only other candidate with some crossover appeal is Kasich, which makes Trump/Kasich a strong ticket. If the natural born citizen question was not an issue, Trump/Cruz would also be a good deal to get the candidates with the most voters and delegates together. If Rubio drops and the other three remain, it could be Kasich's delegates that, when combined with Trump's, put that ticket over the top. Hopefully Cruz could also participate in a role commensurate with his qualifications.
