Were all of these closed primaries? If not and he got, say, 20-something percent of non-white republicans, how many non-white dems and independents crossed over to vote for him?

This just shows how blacks who normally vote Republican are voting. The whole point is getting blacks who normally wouldn’t vote for a Republican, or even vote at all to vote for Trump. A better measure would be how black independents vote in open primaries.

Just a little input to your analysis: the Blacks who are voting for Trump in large measure are historically dems. Let’s face it, there aren’t very many black republicans nationwide to begin with. Trump is pulling blacks from dems, black pastors historically dems, factory workers historically dems, union members historically dem and many in the urban areas. Your analysis holds up for republican blacks voters, though you did not provide a link for your statistics source.
Before you post a headline like you wrote, you should be a little more factual.
Much to my surprise, I know quite a few blacks who have never voted Republican before that will vote for Trump. They are tired of the illegals here.

I attended the watch party on super Tuesday where Cruz gave his Texas / Oklahoma victory speech. I was quite surprised by the large number of hipsters there.

Samples too small to tell much, and you have to assume a disproportionate number of black Repubs are still voting Carson. All that really matters is whether Trump can cut into that 90+% in the general election. Even 20% would be great.
