Obama was a 1st term US Senator with elective experience in State politics.
In other words the exact same experience as Cruz and Rubio
So you best find a new attack line cause that one just blew up in your face.
Cruz got Idaho. Not a big loss. Trump got the big ones tonight. No telling what will happen in Hawaii.
The Bush/Cruz alliance coming out before next Tuesday will not be good for Cruz...and these are states he isn’t projected to do well in anyway.

Teddy Roosevelt was a trump like outsider...He increased the power of the central government ten fold and it has never stopped growing since. he also led the republican party down the rat hole of progressivism.
The next outsider mistake and some think the biggest was Herbert Hoover.....That presidency was blamed for the depression. Hoover was way out of his element and believed he could save the government from it’s self with efficiencies. LOL
The economy never recovered really, until WWII...
Those are the two times that I am aware of the republicans experimenting with outsiders..and yes, it was a grass root thing then as well...
IMO, both were disasters...and both resulted in long periods of democrat rule.
