Had he steered clear of Chuck Schumer he very well could have been leading this race right now.
Cruz is owned by the big donors in his campaign and he's a lawyer. Even if the perfect person is elected (which no candidate is) it will take more than 8 years to restore the Republic. That's why a wall is so important. You need to slow down the illegals so right minded people have a chance to vote in the right people for the next 2 decades.
Cruz's record shows a willingness to fight but no ability to get the necessary people on board to make things happen. He also has no ability to talk around the media. If he were to win the nomination the Media would close him out and go negative on him. If Cruz is the nominee I will vote for him but there is nothing to his candidacy that is exciting. He is just a typical politician, with a typical politician's resume.

You think Cruz will fight to abolish the H1B program? Of course not, too much cash flowing from tech folks to end that..... Think he’ll deport the illegals? Don’t bet on it.. Build a wall? Nope....
But forget all of that, Cruz has a huge general election issue.... he’s basically unelectable, even against a weak candidate like Clinton. He can preach to the Choir, but can’t reach the congregation.
