What does gender theory have to do with climate change and the depiction of glaciers in popular culture? You can decide for yourself by reading what must be the least essential paper ever written: "Glaciers, Gender, and ScienceA feminist glaciology framework for global environmental climate change."
(Excerpt) Read more at reason.com ...
TOPICS: Culture/Society
KEYWORDS:
Glaciers are key icons of climate change and global environmental change. However, the relationships among gender, science, and glaciers particularly related to epistemological questions about the production of glaciological knowledge remain understudied.
Say what?

Only a few happy decades ago these people would've been thrown into the looney bin and the key would've been hidden.
Ah, the good old days!
When people were allowed to speak their minds about fake government “science” without being attacked by single-digit IQ folks pushing a Socialist agenda.

"Muslim glacier-raping jihad?" You got it! You got it!
...except that the grammatical construction of reality is still gender-binaried and masculocentric, depriving the female-identified glacier of true agency. You might try something like,
"Post-colonial Islamic interaction with oppositional-defiant frigid ... uh, female..."
Uh, waitaminnit, waitaminnit, I'm sure this is a way to do this...

I’m thrilled that they wrote this.
Over the weekend I e-mailed the article to several friends and it was a source of great amusement.

Glaciers are key icons of climate change and global environmental change. However, the relationships among gender, science, and glaciers particularly related to epistemological questions about the production of glaciological knowledge remain understudied. This paper thus proposes a feminist glaciology framework with four key components: 1) knowledge producers; (2) gendered science and knowledge; (3) systems of scientific domination; and (4) alternative representations of glaciers. Merging feminist postcolonial science studies and feminist political ecology, the feminist glaciology framework generates robust analysis of gender, power, and epistemologies in dynamic social-ecological systems, thereby leading to more just and equitable science and human-ice interactions. How are the "historians" who authored this incomprehensible dreck not in rubber rooms?

Hey, I just put something together! A correlation!
THe glaciers have been melting at the same time as feminism has been rising!
Down with feminism, and yes to glaciers!

This sort of politically correct babble used to be limited to the social sciences and humanities. But now the hard sciences are also being subverted with "Feminist Mathematics," "Feminist Physics," "Feminist Geosciences," etc.
How does somebody study math from a "feminist perspective" anyway? I had no idea that derivatives and integrals had gender.

This academia-gobbledegook-speak is deliberately constructed to confuse, inhibit, and intimidate normal people.

So I completely fail to see what a bogus study on ‘glaciers’ has to do with voting for Trump..?
