All the ‘brokered’ convention talk dates to when it was possible to have delegates split among numerous candidates far more evenly. Makes no difference if one believes Cruz has gone GOP-E, there isn’t the slightest evidence his delegates will.

A majority of delegates can amend or suspend convention rules to prevent the introduction of a GOP-E selected candidate at all. Combined Trump and Cruz delegates (at 70+%) will control the convention.
