The Republican Party has been saying for years that it needs to win back the Reagan Democrats in order to win the Presidency and retain it's majorities in the House and Senate. Who's doing that? Donald Trump.
Look at the big picture. You may get your nominee and win battle but you'll do so at the cost of losing the war.
