There’s only a handful of plaintiffs in this case? Sheesh, all in an attempt to fleece money from a billionaire and take down a political rival. A sure attempt to discourage Trump from getting uppity - they can always slap him down if he thinks of challenging the political order. Reminds me of attempts to charge a popular politician with misusing their office illegally to campaign (not keeping separate the working office and the campaign office as required by law). Said politician suddenly becomes humble. Point is made, don’t run for higher office.

There are only a handful of named plaintiffs -- it's a class action, which means there are numerous other unnamed plaintiffs. The class was certified two years ago, and the case itself was brought in 2010, so it has nothing to do with taking Trump down politically. Fleecing money out of him, perhaps. As he implied last night, Trump would rather pay his lawyers than pay people who sue him.
