The story is getting familiar: Donald J. Trump won the biggest contests of the night, as Senator Ted Cruz of Texas captured the most conservative state up for grabs. Hillary Clinton kept a clear upper hand in the Democratic race, but Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont proved he would not be driven away anytime soon. From Our Advertisers
Tuesdays elections could have brought new clarity to the presidential primaries. Instead, they only seemed to confirm that both parties would probably settle their nominations by battling for delegates well into the spring.

In Michigan, Sanders and Trump both won. That tells me that a very large majority of voters are totally fed up with the elite.
fox this morning is beating the cruz drum HARD they’re acting like the win in ID won him the nomination
Idaho is more conservative than Mississippi?
What I heard is that Idaho has a huge mormon population and the Romney speech had an impact there.
If she loses the nomination Obama can be free to indict her.
Cruz only won Idaho due to the large population areas of moderate voters from the Mormon militia (South and Eastern part of the state) along with the areas that have been invaded by those fleeing the People’s Republic of California (North and Western part of the state). Looking at the map the Central lowly populated part of the state is feed up with the establishment and went with Trump.
Yeah Fox News is in the tank against Trump and it’s sad to see. That’s why I only check in on two programs that are respectful of Trump.
I know the fix is in for Hillary, but I still want Bernie to stay in the race as long as possible.
Confirms my opinion from living in Michigan that it is
the most essentially contrarian place in the United States.
NOWHERE do people relish flipping the bird more than in the Wolverine State. And they did so to both parties last night. With enthusiasm.
I find it fascinating that just a short while ago a billionaire with Wall Street and high powered political connections would have been considered one of the 'elite'.
btt
i want the bernie fans to feel slighted when hillary snatches the nomination from them
Sundance:
By Mitt Romney giving the Mormon base in Idaho marching instructions to support Ted Cruz, his plan backfired because Rubio dropped so low in the outcome he didnt meet the minimum result for delegates.
If Romney had kept his mouth shut, Trump would have probably ended up with a win in Idaho, but less delegates. If Trump had won Idaho with 40%, and Cruz and Rubio each had 30%, Trump would have received less delegates than the current outcome.
Because of the vote-shifting scheme, Cruz won but didnt get 50% (the threshold for winning all 32 delegates), and because Rubio came in with less than 20% (the threshold for any delegates), Cruz won the state but Trump (in second place) exits with more delegates than if he had won but all three candidates shared delegates.
What last night told me was Bernie is going to win the big states, but that probably will not be enough. It also told me that Cruz is still getting the conservative vote. Which for me says that if Cruz is the nominee, that conservative vote will give him the election. These are the same voters that stayed home in 2012.
Given that, Trump’s popularity will get him over the top and there isn’t much anyone can do about it unless Cruz rattles off wins in republican only primaries.
The Romney speech? Yeah, I know; but it’s Glen Beck who’s been pounding hatred in on Trump, and blowing love up Cruz’s crack, for months. Beck is loved by his fellow LDS, and by silly women with itching ears.
I'm glad nobody has driven him away from the advertisers.
Didn’t the elite create Trump? By trying so hard to stop Trump from becoming a serous candidate, it seems that they got him invested or disgusted enough to take them down.
Some Mormon communities tend to vote in lockstep with what their bishops tell them too - Romney is a bishop in their “church”. Same deal with Hasidim in Brooklyn - they will vote for a candidate en mass per instructions from their head rabbi.
Trump roars back, gains 15 delegates on Ted Cruz!
