That is an excellent point! I agree, and as days roll on, more gets revealed. He is certainly NOT what he has portrayed himself to be, imho.
I think the establishment was going for a Bush presidency and a Cruz VP slot. Cruz as the head of the ticket has limited appeal outside of his core base. But he could grant legit conservative credentials to Bush who would run as a moderate Republican and the ticket would be made to be pro Hispanic illegals. That is what they were going for before Trump took out Bush.
