No...he said there should not be a brokered convention where the big wigs commandeer the election from the candidates.

A contested convention happens when none of the candidates get enough delegates before the election. A brokered convention is where they arrange the deck chairs on the Titanic 238 a way to steal the election from the top candidate and then they have cheated the voters and then I would never vote for whoever they foist upon us in that instance.

He was saying...and I agree...the viters would revolt if the GOPe would try that.

As a Cruz supporter who.would vite for Trump if he wins rhe nomination....I would never vote for a candidate in the brikered convention scenario.

Contested however...yes....

And so far I am managing to maintain my belief structure and support my candidate without calling Trump candidate’s supporters names or denigrating them or calling them all the things that people from both camps have been doing here on Free Republic.

‘Brokered’ convention depends on primaries from here out yielding many establishment delegates.

If the convention opens with 1900 delegates between Trump and Cruz, there is no mechanism for a GOP-E candidate. The only brokering will be between Trump and Cruz.

Even a compromise candidate would have to be agreed to by Trump and Cruz.

Without at least 1000 delegates, the establishment gets nothing.
