Marco Rubio is banking on Florida to prove his campaign can make a comeback, but a new Quinnipiac poll has him far behind Donald Trump in the state. Trump has 45 percent of likely Republican primary voters in Floridacompared with 22 percent for the Florida senator. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who has recently been making a play in Florida some say in an effort to take out Rubio is not far behind with 18 percent. And Ohio Gov. John Kasich has just 8 percent. The margin has widened since February, when Trump had 44 percent to Rubio's 28 percent. Trump also leads Kasich in his home state of Ohio, though the margin is much smaller: 6 percentage points. The billionaire has 38 percent and Kasich has 32 percent. Cruz has 16 percent and Rubio has 9 percent in the Buckeye State. Both Trump and Kasich have improved their scores since February, though the margin remains similar. Trump had 31 percent compared to Kasichs 26 percent. In Florida, just 25 percent of those surveyed are open to another candidate (6 percent are entirely undecided and 19 percent are willing to change their minds.) The number of those surveyed who remain flexible in Ohio is slightly larger, but still not a majority. Five percent of those surveyed are undecided, and 27 percent could change their mind. Both Florida and Ohio are delegate-rich, winner-take-all states that the senator and governor must win to justify staying in the race. The telephone survey was conducted March 2-7. It included 657 likely Republican primary voters in Florida with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.8 percentage points. The survey also included 685 likely Republican primary voters in Ohio with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points.

Stay in Marco!
You useless traitorous POS!
But....but.....permanent demographic shift! Hispanic appeal! Moderation in immigration stance! Identity politics! Act of love!
Too much dishonesty everywhere, contrived rumors, fake news; propaganda as rumors, etc.
Polls are useless.
If Marco gets out now, it will look like he was afraid of the Florida vote. If he stays in, he will get creamed. He loses either way, but I don’t see an advantage to him getting out.
Even if he did get out. Trump in the poll on this thread is beating Cruz and Rubio’s combined vote. And not all of Rubio’s vote is going to go to Cruz.
Not always, some polls are useful in influencing public opinion, and the more the polls present a likely outcome the more it seems to become a reality.
But I agree with you in that who really knows if there is any actual “polling” or if these outfits just make up numbers for the purpose described above.
I really didn’t think, with the never-ending, gutter-filth negative ads running nonstop, this would be possible.
If Trump trounces Rubio and Cruz in Florida, and wins Ohio after millions of dollars worth of negative ads aimed at him, what will the neo-con-artists do next? I’d like to see a wholesale migration of them to the democrat party, or better yet, they should all jump out of windows.
Why isn’t Cruz mentioned in the headline. Trump is walloping Cruz in Florida also and this state is a must Republican win. Are some of you folks so categorically blind not to see that CRuz can’t win Florida in the general. Do you think that all those Trump voters will line up for Cruz if Trump is cheated out of the nomination. Get real. For once in you life get real.
Good points, Danny. Thanks.
Little Marco is really excited about his new K-Street Lobbyist job that no doubt awaits him after this silly election stuff is over.
...but we were told that Canadian Bacon Ted was making a play in FL.
Your comments remind me of the Michigan poll that had Hillary winning with a hefty margin.
Trump has under polled 2 to 5 points in most states thus far.
Fox Business just reported that Rubio backers are urging him to suspend before Florida.
Some have compared Rubio to Dondi. I saw a picture of Curious George that also reminded me of Rubio.
CNN coverage last night the panelist covering the GOPe “Operation Stop Trump” reported it’s a forgone conclusion Trump takes FL and OH.
Nice!
“Polls are useless. “
So I take it you have a “Magic 8 Ball?”
Let Marco’s head on a pike serve as a warning to all future potential amnesty sellouts.
