Note to Cameron, admission that your capitol city has become embedded in the Muslim culture is NOT a selling point for most non-Muslim people. All I can say is I’m glad I had a chance to see London long before they (’they’ meaning Parliment and other law makers) lost their nerve and their need for an identity.

What a shame, London was a great city. I’ve been there twice and had a blast, especially with my love of British rock. I would hate to see the great history of London destroyed by these barbarians.The truth about Islam’s hate and violence has taken far too long, and people have let Islam grow.
London has had Islamic and Arab populations since the 1950’s and 60’s. Until 1989 and the Rushdie affair, they were no problem.
London is a city, and by nature multicultural. It has always taken in immigrants: Jews, Irish, blacks, Sikhs and Hindus, Italians, Greeks, HK Chinese, Asians etc. So the idea that London has been a white city with British/English only is a fiction of old Sherlock Holmes films. There have been non whites in London since the 1700s. The first black policeman in the UK was in London in 1837.
Yes, there is a sizeable Muslim pop in the city, but most of the city is NOT Muslim. And contrary to hype/myth, there are still plenty of areas of London which are white native. And areas where Muslims are few.
Finally, London is not England or the UK, anymore than NY or LA are America. 96% of the UK is NOT Muslim. 92% of the UK is white. Three parts of the UK have tiny Muslim and ethnic populations: Scotland, Wales and NI. All with 1% or less Muslim populations and small ethnic populations.
The UK has serious issues with extreme Islam that it is and needs to continue to address. BUT it is also important to counter the myths, lies and outright rubbish spoken about the UK and to discuss the issue knowing the real facts about the UK, not internet myth and heresay.
Another myth: Muslims are the biggest ethnic UK group. Not true. Black British from the Caribbean migration of 1948 through the 50s/60s are the largest ethnic group. Add to that black non Muslim Africans.
The largest ethnic influx of the last 25 yrs ironically has been the WHITE influx from Poland and Eastern Europe, under easier EU travel rules.
When asked why Europe has to change their ways to accommodate Muslims, she says because it must be such a culture shock to move from someplace that is so "orthodox" to a place like Europe. It's Europe's duty to change to lessen that culture shock for them.
In 2010 the census had London at 45% foreigners. Half. Today, it is no doubt much more than that.
