Pamela Anderson asks New York Gov Cuomo to put prisoners on a vegan diet to save $2 million a year

Pamela Anderson wants to cut the cheese - and meat - out of New York prisoners' diets.

The Baywatch beauty wrote an open letter to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday, on behalf of PETA, suggesting that he make all prison meals vegan.

The famous vegetarian says that the diet switch could save the state millions, and she even offered to visit a penitentiary to cook for the inmates if he takes up her offer, as she did last year for a prison in Arizona.

I agree. Drag some asparagus or arugula through some hot water every day for these prisoners.

This could cause some offenders to shape up and not go to jail.

I thought cruel and unusual punishment was unconstitutional.

Force them to go without meat for 2 solid years and they may never be able to physically handle it again. Wonder if any would file a lawsuit upon release.

Do vegans eat salads made with pitcher plants and venus flytraps?

They’re convicted criminals. Feed them Alpo in the large 50 pound bag.

Just put them in touch with Sheriff Joe, he’ll save them some money. Nothing but bologna and bread, I’d be nice and throw in PB&J for the religion of pieces, no cable tv, etc...

Supposedly, vegans will not eat anything with eyes. Does that include potatoes? Can they be replaced with clams, mussels and oysters?

IOW, I am NOT a vegetarian because I love animals, I am a vegetarian because I hate plants.

Cruel and unusual punishment. Humans need fat and protine from meat.

“Some will still be forced to eat meat.”

I see what you did there. Well played.

My dad always told us when he was a kid in the 20’s they had 1 pile of white cobs and 2 pile of black cobs because you use a black cob first, then a white cob to see if you need another black cob.

I always hated it when the Sears catalog ran out of flimsy pages and you had to use the slick colored ones.
