What an intellectually lazy viewpoint.
What is intellectually lazy is lawmakers hiding the incremental increases of government power behind the dead bodies of victims as a means to shut off any meaningful debate. Wise men once counseled that "individual cases make for bad law" but today's feminized society wants a new law to fix every new ill. Our nation is suffocating under the crushing weight of too many laws and doesn't need a single new one until scores of existing statutes are erased from the books. That's not lazy; that's a principled defense of free society.
