Former presidential candidate Ben Carson will endorse Donald Trump at a press conference in Florida on Friday morning, multiple sources tell CNN, handing Trump an important boost heading into next week's "Super Tuesday 3."
Carson, a retired neurosurgeon, ended his own White House campaign last week after failing to win a single primary contest. Trump is scheduled to hold a press conference Friday at 9 a.m. ET at the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach.

The development is disappointing news for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. On Wednesday, Carson told CNN’s Erin Burnett he was open to supporting either Trump or Cruz.
“You have to consider all the information, who is most likely to win, and what kind of shenanigans will drive voters away so they will not participate in the process. We have to be very careful in all those things,” Carson said.
Surgeon General.

Oh no! Doesn’t Carson know that Trump supporters are branded as low information people who aren’t engaged?
Surely he would run to Cruz to escape those labels!

Cruz welcomes in the Bush dynasty and Trump gets the only black candidate on the stage.

The three outsiders: Cruz, Trump, and Carson. If Carson pushes even 10% of his original base towards Trump it will be decisive.
“I’m honored to have been mentioned in President Trump’s Inaugural Address,” said Health and Human Services Secretary Carson, “And also to be appointed to the First 100 Days Committee. President Trump has asked me for my input on the candidates for Surgeon General and I think it was well received.”

Carson probably took one look at Teds BFF Glenn Beck and decided that even he couldn’t fix the abby normal things going on in there.

Carson is an odd dude. A couple of weeks ago there was a post from him on my Facebook page that was very critical of Trump. (wish I’d saved it)
I wish he would remember that Donald basically derailed his campaign with the vicious attack on Ben Carson when Ben was leading in Iowa.
A few months ago, when Donald Trump referred to Carson as pathological and compared him to a child molester, Carson had nothing to say. He was completely impotent. And in fact, his numbers tanked shortly thereafter.
