Thursday at the CNN Republican presidential debate, Donald Trump said when he told CNN’s Anderson Cooper “Islam hates us,” he meant “a lot of them” and he will “stick with exactly” with his comments.

Oh, well, dictionary definitions aren’t needed with these guys. The hate is obvious.
Personally, I don’t “hate” Cruz or his supporters. I do think they are out of their gourd at this point. But I do try to restrain myself (even though it often doesn’t seem like it) in my comments to them.
That would have been the best Trump response. If pressed for more he could have added,
"If one doesn't share their faith, one is an infidel; look at their barbaric attitude about infidels as set out in their holy laws."
Further:
"Sharia law is substantially incompatible with our Constitution; however, they make every effort to implement it wherever they reside.
Well for heaven’s sake we were called ‘low information’ voters, what do you expect....
We just can’t seem to be justified by a ‘Canadian leader’ at this point...
As I predicted last night on the live thread, by this morning no one will remember a thing Cruz said or any of his wonky policy details.
But everyone will be talking about how Donald Trump refused to walk back his comment about muslims, and that he meant “A lot of them”.

There is no controversy about his statement except among those who have butt hurt.
Islam DOES hate us. Islam as religion basically hates anything that is NOT Islam. The motto is convert or die.
Now when the question comes up about individual members of Islam then YES a lot of Islamists hate us. A lot.

More than "a few" defines a big threat. If only 15% of muslims worldwide support and enable (a low estimate) the terrorist "few," that is more than a hundred million.
It takes more than ten koranimals to support each killer.
Further, for the last 40 years, independent polls have repeatedly and consistently established that 80% of ALL muslims outside the US not only approve of terrorist acts, but would join in given an opportunity.
There is no ignorance as bad as willful ignorance.
And to those who think this is an insult to muslims, I would ask "so death to America" is actually meant as an affectionate gesture?

I have understood everything that Trump has ever said without any problem at all.
The real problem, are the inferences that wreak havoc with the ignorant.
The Trump haters always makes the worst inferences possible, so they feel they have intellectual ammunition, and something to rail about.
It just reflects their poverty of experience and imagination.

Kafirs are considered inferior, and are subjugated and oppressed in Islam. The Sharia (Islamic Law) codifies the oppression of Kafirs. The Koran calls on Muslims to go on Jihad (Holy War) against Kafirs.
Islam has killed 60 million Christians, 80 million Hindus, 10 million Buddhists, and 120 million other Kafirs, through its doctrine of Jihad (Holy War) against Kafirs.
On March 10, Republican Presidential candidate, Donald Trump said: “Islam hates us.There is tremendous hatred in Islam for us. We need to get to the bottom of this.”
The fact is, Islam hates Kafirs.
Islam is an affront to the 6 billion Kafirs of the world.
