Alex Conant, Mr. Rubios spokesman, made the comments in an interview with CNN. He said that he hoped supporters of Mr. Kasich and of Senator Ted Cruz would support Mr. Rubio in his home state primary in Florida, and that he would suggest Mr. Rubio's backers in Ohio do the same by supporting Mr. Kasich there.
"I'm just stating the obvious," Mr. Conant said. "If you are a Republican primary voter in Ohio and you want to defeat Donald Trump, your best chance in Ohio is John Kasich, because John Kasich is the sitting governor, he's very close to Donald Trump in some of the polls there."

Rubio already knows he’s lost Florida?
Rubio’s done.
Is it safe to assume Rubio pulled out of the election?
He doesn’t want to win, he and the rest only want to block Trump at this point.
That is the primary pillar of all of their campaign platforms; their vision for the future of America. Stop Donald Trump from getting the nomination.
Pathetic.
-—”...because John Kasich is the sitting governor, he’s very close to Donald Trump in some of the polls there.”-—
Not when they find out he voted for NAFTA, a CommonCore advocate, and turns a blind eye to the illegal invasion.
C ya John!
That might swing 6 votes.
Good Idea
Trump should run with this. Rubio Endorses John Kasich.
Rubio soap boy at foam parties has lost FL.....sour grapes.
I’m not sure how this works. OH voters who were supporting Rubio were looking for an alternative to Kasich, the known quantity. I’m wondering if a percentage of them will say “*crew you Marco” and vote for Trump. OH folks who don’t prefer Kasich....we’ve all got our reasons. And OH folks don’t like to be told what and who to vote for.
I get emails from Cruz campaign, Kasich and Rubio, and ALL of them are just about “stopping Trump.”
That is likely to work about as well as the graphic in post #9 shows.
Rubio is desperate now. His internal polls are probably stating the obvious. He knows that if Trump wins both Florida and Ohio, that the race is essentially over.
Cruz may put up a good fight, bit without something very significant, it will be all but impossible for him to overtake Trump, even if both Rubio and Kasich throw in behind Cruz after next Tuesday.
so Rubio, recognizing this, it trying to get the Ohio voters to do what his voters in Florida is not going to be able to do.
Operation Crayons.
Then Trump should state that Rubio is doing this and that their vote here in FL is a wasted vote and it shows how desperate the establishment has become wen they are now using cruz, Kasich and Rubio t stop Trump after their meeting
Rubio has no Ohio supporters.
All ever cruz states now is to stop trump, he never mentions his issues, his policies, it is all about stop trump, don’t vote for him and vote for me crap.
Very sad to see how cruz has become part of the dirty elitist establishment.
