There would be serious charges but I’m sure that the Powers That Be have decided that it might be best to bury the whole thing.
Hopefully South Carolina has similar laws as Washington State. Completely legal to shoot at a fleeing felon (from an assault, major property theft, etc.) Although some recent cases have been brought into court by gungho liberal prosecutors. So far they continue to lose their cases.
