It is a weird idea given that Sri is American - even if a lib. Ted Cruz who was born outside the U.S. serves as a Senator. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen & Mario Diaz Balart were born in Cuba but are/were in Congress. I guess they are more American than Sri?
Teds mother was a US citizen which made Ted a US citizen at birth.
