“I think you can safely say that the Trump campaign and many of his supporters share some of the blame for the potential for violence.”

BS!!!

I don’t know that you can blame Trump directly for the violence, but you cannot completely absolve him or his supporters, either. When you have a Trump supporter sucker punching a protester, and then saying the next time he might have to kill him, and Trump supporters CHEER him; when you have Trump supporters roughing up protesters and you have the candidate approving and even offering to pay the legal bills for anyone arrested for attacking a protester; when you have Trump himself threatening to punch a protested in the face from the stage during a rally; then yes, I think you can safely say that the Trump campaign and many of his supporters share some of the blame for the potential for violence.

And where is your proof for your bs?

Oh, yes he did.
The memo clearly went out by the GOPe.
Condemn the rioting, but blame Donald Trump.
The both quoted the exact line almost verbatim.

The video of Cruz's remarks was here:

LIVE STREAM: Ted Cruz Comments in Chicago, IL

The part in question runs from 4:45-6:10. In a sane world, this would be the end of Cruz's campaign.

A couple of minutes ago, the video was taken down. WTF?

I’ve mostly stayed out of this Cruz/Trump nonsense Charlie, but what Cruz did this evening crosses the line. Absolutely vile.

And how many of those other candidates encouraged their supporters to punch people in the face?

Hmmm...

“What are all you guys getting your knickers in a twist about? The people who commit the violence or threats of violence bear the responsibility. I think every reasonable person believes that.
But when you threaten violence or seem to condone it (as Trump did by saying in his day people left on stretchers, and I will pay your legal bills if you beat them) then you bear some responsibility for a violent environment.

I know no candidate did this so let me give you an example. If a protester came in and started yelling, and the candidate tells the crowd to beat the crap out of him, and the protester dies, is the candidate at all culpable? I say yes.

I think all Cruz was saying was that if you create an environment that your supporters feel it is OK to commit violent acts, like the guy who cold cocked that BLM protester, then you share some of the responsibility.

Seems pretty straightforward to me.”

This string of logic has no power over the Trumpkins. They are impervious.

Exactly. What Cruz is really saying is that Trump’s winning strategy of speaking the truth is akin to shouting fire in a movie theater. Cruz just lost the election. He wasn’t ready for that 3am phone call.

Good; that means if Trump is shot, we can blame that stupid MSM dipwad that keeps talking about how George Wallace was inciting violence and got shot!

The ONLY proper statement was “I want to win this election but Mr. Trump and all candidates have a right to be heard and not to be disrupted by the left. This is a threat to Free Speech and free political process”

I agree. I do not like to see anyone's rallies or meetings disrupted, that goes for our political opponents' too.

Trump’s brownshirts.

You're a sick, sick person, who deserves to get a time out from the management.
