All those fine arguments fly out the window when you consider that this was a massively preplanned event by the protesters and that this was announced as a disruptive tactic for the Trump rallies, to target the rallies as an opposition force, not a tactic to oppose his supposed violent tone.

In addition it is the candidates responsibility to not create an environment of violence. That environment has nothing to do with what happened tonight, but by encouraging people to hit protesters in the face, when something like this happens then the bad situation will escalate to something worse.
